Find a partner or grab your favorite beverage & listen to some Irish tunes .A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later. "My Wild Irish Rose" ~ John Gary "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" ~ John Gary

 Why Saint Patrick's Day?
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.

So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.

In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

That attraction FREAKED me out. Little did I know I was going to be poked in the back and have strange things tickling me in the dark. It's a neat thing to experience, but some very small child somewhere always ends up crying in sheer terror by the end of the show.
Did you see the Aladdin show?
To: beaureguard
I'm SO jealous! I wanted to go. Toby is awesome.

Did it have a brake on it? I know they're pricey to shoot, but it'd be fun to have b/c it is what it is. That, and if I make it up North, be good grizzly back-up too.

Isn't it ~$5/shot?

Did you see the parannas (forgive my spelling, wish FR had spell check). Just noticed them this time on Jungle Cruise and the jokes were different. Maybe it was because we went at night.

To: DollyCali
Perhaps, though that would leave some people out.

I know you, Rockinright and Rca2000 are in Ohio, Hoodlum91 and Goodgirlinred are in Virginia, I'm in NC and ilovew is in SC. There may be more.

Hopefully by the time you're out of school I'll be out of Mom and Dad's house and be independent enough to go.

LOL There is the deal, by the time I am done, you're moved out. Should be pretty fair, IMO?

It'd have to be in a big enough city so people could get cheap flights, and announce it well in advance. Sometimes you can find really good deals on airfare. I think it would just be a blast.
