Sorry I have been neglecting the kitty thread the last few weeks. Work has been very busy and the required amounts of over-time in recent weeks has pre-empted the threads. High price gas very good for business. We return with a popular topic, the office pool for the 2006 NCAA basketball tournament. If you want to win the office pool, dont follow this advice.

De nada, chic[a|o].
Chico, although I dropped all pretense of any machismo when you met me in my "think I have to put my kitty down" thread.
BTW he's been on the phenobarb for a week and doing...okay.
Noted, and it's OK to cry for a kitty.
BTW he's been on the phenobarb for a week and doing...okay.
I'm glad he's doing as well as he is, and hope he gets much better.
I can't get close to saying this right............... but here's a lame attempt.............cats are the finest creatures on earth, imo ........ and, my wife and I will continue to be our cats' obedient servants........... and will consider it a privilege. ;-)
For all you folks who want your kitties to live as long and as well as possible................ here is how (I think) it can be done.
My wife and I have had a bunch of cats over more than three decades ............... we get the $10 kitties at the shelters, then we get them those original shots -- rabies and whatever...... just once............. after that NOTHING at all from the veterinarians.
Our cats are all mostly outdoors (Pennsylvania) when it's not really cold. They come inside when they want to, but they like the outdoors .......... on our four acres of a wooded, suburban lot. They have nearly always lived to be at least 20 years old here ....... and here is why I think that is.
Slightly steamed crushed carrots mixed into their moist food (tuna, etc.) each morning, and crushed pieces of cantaloupe during some afternoons ....... and Purina Cat Chow all the rest of the time ...... plain and simple....!
Oh, and a lot of love for them ............ including a slow rub or comb of their spine each day for about a minute.
When a cat is loved and respected it lives so well and so long.
(jmo)
Don't forget the steamed carrots. Just a little mixed into their food seems to keep them healthy. (No.........they don't seem to notice that you snuck it in the food if you just use it at a one quarter ratio.)
Meg, Alia ....... please pass this along to anyone who you may think would wish to have it.
ping ............................ to # 24
Our neighborhood turned dangerous for our outdoor cats and the neighbors dog and cat..Rwo of ours just disappeared..We think someone is putting out poison so we sadly made all our kitties indoor cats..I had an outdoor cat live to fifteen..I will remember the added fruit hints. They LOVE to be combed ..I just did that to the elder alpha female.
LOL. I love that one.
You are in the right place if you love your cat..
I sincerely hope your kitty improves.
These cartoons are great fun!
Thank you!
LOL! You have graphics for every subject...Terrific!
Yes ...... and they love to be rubbed down their spine .............. and they LOVE to rub you..... it makes them think like they own you (well, they do. ;-) )
Thanks for the ping! I love the blue kitty. :o)
How can you miss the ultimate Kitty March Madness?
The Sunday games in Philly could very easily be Wildcats vs. Wildcats and Wildcats vs. Huskies.
Three out of Four cats can't be wrong!

Lucky for me, I have inside help:

Of course any other recommendations you might have are welcomed.
Indeed! ;)
