Good afternoon Ms. Feather.
"Roads" is so lovely and heart-felt, thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading, and will save so I can read again.
Family birthdays at my house this evening, so I am cooking away today!
Have a beautiful Sunday, Ms. Feather!
Hello, ms marlowe!
Happy times with family
birthdays celebrating
stepping stones to maturity
Good food cooking
for good time memories
this day will not come round again.
Have a grand time dear
and laugh, let those smilies
from others cast a memory in gold for you.
bentfeather.....
Thank You, I am glad you enjoy reading my work.
"The Waiting
Endless ticking of the clock
facial lines deeper in the mirror
Endless ticking of the clock
time racing to the end
wearing gossamer robes
to bind and fold me in
a starlight trip without end
where I'll join him
bf"
The ticking of the clock but marks the moment,
and lines are but the history one passes through.
Time is but the flow of life, celebrate what is sent,
so wear your robes and enjoy the trip as you go.
Gossemer or flannel, let the moment decide,
if he's worthy, it matters not what you wore!

Time marches in on heavy feet,
the hands of time clap out a beat.
Father Time bows out to the baby,
who tiptoes in and says, now maybe,
the ticking of the clock is mankind
asking, the age old question,
"Is there life after death?"
and to that . . . my answer without hesitation,is,
believe on the lord Jesus Christ
and thou shalt have eternal life.
Because, He died, for your justifiction.
One day I dug a little hole
And put my hurt inside
I thought that I could just forget
I'd put it there to hide.
But that little hurt began to grow
I covered it every day
I couldn't leave it and go on
It seemed the price I had to pay.
My joy was gone, my heart was sad
Pain was all I knew.
My wounded soul enveloped me
Loving seemed too hard to do.
One day, while standing by my hole
I cried to God above
And said, "If You are really there-
They say, You're a God of Love!"
And just like that-He was right there
And just put His arms around me
He wiped my tears, His hurting child
There was no safer place to be.
I told Him all about my hurt
I opened up my heart
He listened to each and every word
To every sordid part.
I dug down deep and got my hurt
I brushed the dirt away
And placed it in the Master's hand
And healing came that day.
He took the blackness of my soul
And set my spirit FREE!
Something beautiful began to grow
Where the hurt used to be.
And when I look at what has grown
Out of my tears and pain
I remember every day to give my hurts to Him
And never bury them again.
I do not know the author of this piece . . . but, it touched and healed my heart . . . God be with you all!
Good night Miss Feather and Fellow Lairites . . . see you tomorrow.

Nice day here today, no snow.
We lived in a place for a few years where loons would wake us with the sunrise. They have a funny call and a flock of them doing it was even funnier, so we couldn't get mad at them.
The first apartment with the beagle was an entirely different story.
