And now for tonights Dinklemeyer:
This is the last appearance of Stephanie. I couldnt think of anything to do with the character after this. She and Karen, the two hot girls from the strip, both vanished after this.

Yeah, but I was a more modest youngster. I even had girls who would read it telling me to put adult stuff in it. But that was an early example of me ignoring public demands and exerting my own control over my work. It just wouldn't have worked.

Yeah, I wasn't content to make the Donkey just a donkey, like in most political cartoons. I wanted him to be an actual character, with subtle facial expressions and the like. I've tried to make him sort of a cool, collective, sort of slick "character we love to hate."
