Posted on 02/11/2006 8:33:45 AM PST by lawnguy

Freepers, I would like your favorite chili recipes.

I know many of these recipes are top secret, but I will be happy to settle for those in the public domain.:-)

Thank You!!

Almost surely not of much interest to 96-98% of FReepers, but it's a user-interactive site that deals very extensively with both longer- and shorter-term seasonality in the futures markets.

It works beautifully right now, but we intend to make this into, literally, the encyclopedia of seasonality and monthly market behaviour in American (ultimately world-wide, of course) futures markets, for a price that's 1% or less of what these arrogant so-called ''super databases'' charge. Lots of features yet to add. Working on the 'Scorecard' right now -- a quick user-searchable DB of how seasonally-based ideas have worked so far this year, and last year, and so forth. Quite a bit of work, but I'm getting quicker at the compilations, so it's going right along.

Hey, stop by -- even if you don't give a hoot about the futures markets -- let me know what you think of the site: is it fast (it is, btw, very), is it clean, is it consistent, is it easy to use for non-traders (maybe not, don't know), is it informative (again, don't know as regards non-traders), just your general thoughts would be very welcome indeed!

Free trial, just click on 'Login' at the centre-left of the homepage, short 4-item signup (we've no interest in the personal-data-gathering business at all). At the Index page (first page you'll see after the signup), be sure to click on 'Tips on T&T', at top right, for a short quickstart primer. The webapp works basically along the lines of a stock screener.

No bloody ads, either, except for one of my books on the home page. No ads at all, nor ever will be, in the web application page, where speed matters.

Time & Timing

I nominate my FIL's bear chili. Yes I ate around the meat chunks :D but it was pretty good stuff.

Any spares? I hate to make chili with a fine cut of meat like that but I've smoked a few mean ones in the past. Honey-mustard glazed and just smoked.

Me too, normally I'll cut them into medallions and chicken-fry them.

Fortunately I have five sets left and some forequarters, too.

It was a good season. ;-)

Heck, for a good cause I'd donate 'em.

I had to give away a few hindquarters at work, I ran out of space.

Between my Dad and myself we got nine last season and about half
went into sausage and the other came back to Houston with me.

I need to make a trip to Austin and pick up the dang sausage!

How many of you made chili yesterday or are making it today!?

I made chili yesterday. Had some leftovers for lunch today.

Yummy

BTW - It was not from a can.
