Seattle coach laments having to take on the guys in the striped shirts, too
DETROIT - No appreciation or consolation in Seattle for the Seahawks, at least not yet.
Nope, they were still stuck in frustration.
The post-Super Bowl parties went into early Monday morning as the Seahawks at least tried to celebrate their season, instead of their somber Sunday. Later, coach Mike Holmgren tried to refocus the team, momentarily, on what it had done and what it still may do.

And the Seahawks were still stinging from a few officials calls that went against them, such as Darrell Jacksons touchdown catch that was taken away by a penalty and a disputed TD run by Pittsburghs Ben Roethlisberger.
We knew it was going to be tough going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Holmgren told the fans at Qwest Field. I didnt know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well.

What an ass to say this and worse to say this to a huge crowd.
And, the jerk couldn't manage to find coach Cowher in the middle of the field after the game.
Jerk!
bad sport Holmgren ................ ping
It wasn't the officials that screwed up the clock at the end of both halfs.
Stealers is right. I hate Seattle. Holmgren wrecked my Green Bay Packers. But that thing was a crime, as were several NFL playoff games this year.
The NFL is becoming as bad as the NBA.
...or missed any field goals.
Well it seems that the main sports writers are with him on this one ....
That was sad if it was on purpose, because even if he thought the refs stole the game, there was no reason for him to hold Cowher responsible for it.
If he had spent as much time and effort managing the clock, maybe he wouldn't have to whine about the referees. They didn't make his quarterback throw a 4-yard in-field completion when they needed a quick score.
Ben just got shaved on Letterman, btw.
Remember, any team that has the Packer's makeup is destined to lose against a good defense.
A big AMEN! Worse clock management I've seen since the Eagles, and they only messed up once in the Superbowl, not leading into halftime, and the end of the game.
He'll get fined for sure...but the truth hurts, doesn't it, Pittsburgh?
Big Ben is on Letterman, said he told Coach Cower he wasn't sure if he made it in...but Cower was going to run it again regardless...
FWIW
More childishness.
LOL
You are living proof that not all FReepers are smart.
21-10
I'm not sure who's whining more.
He was just saying out loud what everybody knows. This game was a disgrace - too many bad calls on the field, and they all went against the Seahawks (who btw, played a mighty fine game!)
