A midweek thread celebrating our entry into the Top 300 Folding teams in the world!

First, a big shout out to the SETI and BOINC members who have added CPUs to the effort. Remember, its Team 36120, NOT Team 0.

Next, congrats to all for bumping our team up to 667 processors and 239 user names. We have a number of new users in the team, with over 50 computers now from GetLoaded.com, a trucking website, all contributing while their owners ply our freeways keeping the nation moving.

After over a year of folding, Team 36120, composed of FReepers honoring Ronald Reagan is poised to enter the Top 300 of 44,000 teams worldwide! This is an incredible accomplishment considering our growth started just two months ago.

Want to know more? Just read below and all will be answered.

I set my folding laptops on their sides (display at 45-90 deg to keyboard) with the cooling fan output UP. They seem to run cool that way.

(I wanted to ask, is that all you need to do to 'give' a WU to someone else is to change the User Name in the Configure screen prior to a WU being sent, or do you have to time it to when a new WU is downloaded?)

The User Name in the Config screen needs to be changed before the WU is finished and sent off to Stanford. I usually keep a name in there for a day or so, in case the log file is retransmitted to the servers for any reason.

I set mine on elevated stands - about 30 deg - how do you set the cooling fan output? - running XP

Okay, so a little bit of help here...

I've been turning out this 600+ pt Gromacs core for 4 days, and today I got 121 points! Bull puckey! One of my processors has been dedicated to this task and what do I get, one day worth of points and a loss in status...

Where do I complain, in the FAH community?

Yeah, I'm not to happy...

Look at this link to learn more about your points:

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=168304

F@H recieved the WU but didn't post the points until the 9:00 pm update. It can take a while to cross check for validity and to ensure against corruption.

Patience works wonders!
