OK, new thread for the next week.

First, a big shout out to the SETI and BOINC members who have added CPUs to the effort. Remember, its Team 36120, NOT Team 0.

Next, congrats to all for bumping our team up to 512 processors and 220 user names. We have a number of new users in the team, with over a dozen folders now from GetLoaded.com all popping onto the hit list this week.

We now have ten members who have contributed at least 10,000 points each. Klutz Dohanger, Malsua, Ken in Texas, Andrewksu, LSimpson, kingu, Uriah, arderenne and rach_FR have all reached this milestone. Papasmurf and Senator Bedfellow will join them this next week. Great job!

Even more impressive, our team now boasts 132 members who have folded at least 1,000 points. That is more than the entire number of CPUs folding for our erstwhile left-wing environazi competitors!

Free Republic Folding@Home Stats Page

On the global front, Free Republic Folders is now listed at # 401. We will be in the Top 400 on Sunday!

As we continue to grow there are a number of milestones coming around the bend:

Top 300 by February
Top 250 by the end of the February

We have 800,000 points so far and have folded over 6,400 WU. We will reach an exalted mark of folding a million points per month, each and every month! Fantastic!

Thanks again to all that are helping us advance science and promote the peaceful use of computers.

After doing mostly 500 frame WUs, my last one was 12,500 frames and my current one is 20,000.

The laundry is never done!

I'm pinging you to this thread because you maintain the OSS and Tech ping lists... if you're not familiar with the Folding@Home project, please have a look at it. We have a good numbers FReepers folding so far, and have become one of the top contributing teams (#36120).

If it looks worthwhile to you (and I hope it does), please ping your lists to this thread. Surely among all of the OSS and Tech people out there we could add some serious horsepower to this effort!!!

Well, I can't take credit for the idea... someone else mentioned it to me.

Rain?? YES!!! finally -- not enough to end the drought but far better than nothing.

We haven't seen much rain here in Texas lately. I don't know whether to run and hide from the lightening or run outside and dance naked.

...some of us wimmin'-folk might appreciate the sight...

;)

Bush_Democrat is about to crush me like a bug. But not if I can download linux this afternoon and fire up this sad PIII sitting next to me. (insert more smack talk here). Unlikely I'll get to it, as I'll be watching the Seahawks severely maul the Panthers. Bummer SC_Swamp_Fox

Congrats on the 10k barrier, my friend. I may catch up before too much longer, but I'll probably end up falling behind again, since I have to shut down one of my boxes and ship it cross-country, so it's going to be out of commission for at least a week. Makes things exciting, eh? :)

OK here's the bet. If the Panthers win, I'll donate one folding cycle in your name. If the Seahawks win, you donate one cycle to me. (In other words, the loser has to put the other persons name into their folding configuration, for one cycle).

Is it a bet? (/smacktalk)
