A moment for something serious:
Some of us at Free Republic are involved in a program at Stanford University that lets Stanford medical researchers use excess CPU time to perform massively complex calculations about "protein folding."
I'm no scientist, but I understand it might be a way to unlock diseases like Alzheimers. Our team is even a tribute to Ronald Reagan.
Anyway, it's easy, you don't notice it, but you're doing a lot of good.
