But then sometimes you meet someone you're so attracted to, and it feels like love at first sight, and you know that even if you sleep with them that first night, it will make no difference because there's such strong chemistry and you're so obviously into each other.

I can think of some reasons to have sex on the first date. Her insipid, "it feels like love at first sight" is emphatically NOT one of them.

More than likely it would make whatever relationship that develops, mostly about sex. Though, I suppose there have been some instances where it lasts.
