Committee Postpones Alito Vote To Next Week

Can anyone figure out why Chairman Specter agreed to postpone the vote on Alito another week? The committee already pushed back the hearings a week because of an agreement by Specter and Leahy. I thought that was the week allowed under Senate rules. Why put off the inevitable? I think Specter caved on this one, since he told the committee last week he wouldn't budge on this.

Err Amerika keep telling their listeners to call and e-mail their Senators and insist they filibuster or else! Isn't that what the delay is? Really just trying to get up the public support for them to filibuster? Seems like it to me - Why do the Repub go along with this sh$t?

Where is that Tower Of Jelly Frist who said last week that he would cancel the scheduled recess week if Alito's vote did not occur on the twentieth as scheduled?

Two reasons,

1) he is a RINO,and pro abortion,the 33rd anniversary, Jan. 23rd, of Roe. v. Wade gives him another talking point.

2) specter, like the dems, want to deny President Bush the announcement of another highly qualified Justice to the SCOTUS during the State of the Union address,petty but true.

The dems will try for another delay on 1/20.

Is this the same A. Specter that was ready to use his judicial committee position to help T.O. from the Philly Eagles immediately but continues to delay nominees?

Spineless Spector needs to seek counseling.

They say the surest sign of insanity is repeatedly taking the same action but expecting a different outcome. His continuous to make deals with Democrats that they eventually end up breaking is his insanity.
