Can anyone figure out why Chairman Specter agreed to postpone the vote on Alito another week?

Two reasons,

1) he is a RINO,and pro abortion,the 33rd anniversary, Jan. 23rd, of Roe. v. Wade gives him another talking point.

2) specter, like the dems, want to deny President Bush the announcement of another highly qualified Justice to the SCOTUS during the State of the Union address,petty but true.

The dems will try for another delay on 1/20.
