Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That's what I'm hoping.
It rained and it frozen, then it snowed about an inch, then it rained freezing rain again and the top of the snow is slick like an ice rink!
But it's starting to melt. Not fast, like plain snow though...the ice is taking forever.

Good Afternoon - The Piano Moot has officially ended, G'nad with piano and friend with trailer departed for Dogwood Ridge about a halfhour ago with shields up and photon torpedos loaded.
Overtaxed has also returned to her alchemy project, something about the lottery didn't pan out so the lead/gold project is starting to look better.
Corin, the picture was excellent. Thanks for finding it and posting..actually it is probably not that far off.
Wonderful time was had by all.

Most excellent news 'stroke of the pen, the law of the land'. Congrats to you and Steve. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I regret to say, there was not a camera to be had amongst the guests.

I'll say! This is a dreadful turn of events!
;-)
Well, it is looking good for Steve...if they'll just check him off on the thesis!! It sounds like they're all pretty sure he's gonna graduate this May, but we're still afraid to get our hopes up.

..so this is the best news possible. Thank heavens for that!
(I spent this afternoon sitting in a sunny spot planning out this year's garden. I think it's going to have to expand again...teeheheee)

Good info on those companies. As I was helping my brother move this weekend (movers were out of the budget and his wife is expecting again so no lifting for her...) we decided that when it comes time to move mom out to the east coast we're going to use one of those container companies.... and hire someone to unpack it.

Well, the sunny patch was indoors because it is still vey chilly outside. The cats were a bit put off because the spot wasn't big enough for all three of us. Even so, I'm always amazed at how effective a good dose of sunshine is at chasing away the winter blues.

Moving is tough work. I really admire the sturdy folks who do it for a living. They *earn* their money.
Except when they break stuff.

I agree! When we were all so sick a couple of weeks ago, the first day we were well enough and it was warm enough, I bundled us all up in blankets and sat us all out in the sun!
All we needed was Adirondack chairs and we'd likely looked like a TB sanitarium! LOL!
