Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I know I'm included in the "all" ping, but you have *got* to ping me, especially on the weekend! I'm so excited by all this!
I can't wait till Ruthy moves!
I'm living vicariously through you all...be sure you ping me!
We are really frozen...the 1" layer of snow even has a layer of ice on it and you can actually skate across it if you're careful! I just crunch right through it in my steel-shank steel toe "New Orleans trip that fell through" boots!

I probably could have scored higher as a nerd if they counted dusty/cluttered environment as nerdy, instead of dead food, dead life forms, etc.

Yeah, it's pretty cold here, too. It's 13 right now. I think we were down to about 5 last night. Brrr. It was a lovely sunny day today, too bad it was too cold to go out in it! ;o)

I found some pictures of your type of plant. The blooms of the ones I saw were gorgeous!

2 things.
1. "Am I logged in?" for once is a valid question. (thought I was msdrby since I am at mom's. i'm having an identity crisis I suppose.)
2. merd=nerd, tooo=too spellcheck is my friend and I always forget about it. I'm a bad friend.

Sorry, can't help there. I almost never do anything with multiple accounts on the same machine.

Well anyway. Jen is probably taking off right now headed home. We had a good weekend here.

I'll ping ya for any mini-dramas, 2J. Or anything remotely interesting. :-)
Time is pretty much ~crawling~ for me right now. There isn't much I can do in the way of planning my move until I get closer to June.
But as it turns out, my across-the-street neighbor (a sweet widow named Sarah) has both a son and a nephew who live in WA - Issaquah, to be exact. She called them and said they ~had~ to help me once I got there. *laughing*

We had a good weekend here.Despite the navel-gazing, you mean? ;-)
Hang in there, you two. I'm sure it was very difficult to say goodbye.

We rented Mr and Mrs Smith last night and after a weekend of relationship stuff we were all "they are not dialoging" and "that is not good conflict resolution" during the show.

Sorry about the taxes, Corin.
I did get a last minute reprieve from work today. My manager decided to let me stay home since Alyson's daycare decided to close for President's Day.
I can work with Becky alongside all day long, but not with Aly. :-/

I'm on the laptop with Jr. beside me IMing and Luke in the living room talking incessantly...
I'll be re-appropriating the PC afore too long. Although I might go to the gym first (to get it over with and to get out of the house).
I ~should~ work in the attic today. But I decided to finish the office stuff first.

The gym ~and~ the attic? On the same day?
This cannot end well. :-/

Steve got this from the dean this morning...
Thanks for the petition -- your request to late enroll in Thesis hours so that you can graduate this semester is granted.
The retroactive graduation was just a dream, once this 2 hour requirement came to light...so this is the best news possible.
