ROTFL. We sit there, listen to her comments, and then decide "Paula likes it", "Paula doesn't like it", or "Paula's biological clock is ticking".
I just assume that she and Randy must have a thing going...it's the only way to shut each other up.
That being said, and add the fact that she can't sing as well as any of them, I thoroughly enjoy Paula being there. She's over the top, yeah, but she does want those contestants to excel.
Stevie Nicks is really the only one I could see doing as well or better as the female judge. (mentioned it before)
No kidding. I'd never make it an hour with her. One of us would be dead....likely me from blood loss after ripping my ears off so I couldn't hear any more of her stupid comments.
I should add all of the pathologies so "charmingly" celebrated by rap/hip-hop thugs, and by modern R&B performers like Fantasia -- and funded/promoted by mostly white limousine Leftist powers in the entertainment industry.
If Fantasia had really wanted to be inspiring, she would have put out one or more songs warning young girls to avoid the mistakes she made. Instead she puts out 'Baby Mama'. She's disgusting.
WALK' THE WALK: An 11-8 move for "Walk Away" (RCA) on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart makes Kelly Clarkson the first artist in the 10-year history of this tally to score five top 10 hits from one album.
Clarkson's record-setting run began with "Breakaway," the title song from her second album. Featured in the movie "The Princess Diaries 2," "Breakaway" peaked at No. 2 in February 2005. Then, "Since U Been Gone" also peaked at No. 2, in May 2005. The third single, "Behind These Hazel Eyes," spent five weeks at No. 1, starting in August 2005. "Because of You" was next, and it peaked at No. 2 in December 2005.
Speaking of Country, I think the talent on Nashville Star is far superior to AI.
If the rumors are true about Paula, and if they're looking for a "serious" replacement, what about Gladys Knight? I thought she did a wonderful job when she guest hosted in season 2 (she's the one who dubbed Ruben the "Velvet Teddy Bear). She's one of the few guest judges who actually took the job seriously and offered real critiques. Plus, she's had experience judging singing competitions with the short-lived "Idol Kids."
Just a thought.
Idol fans accuse Daughtry of copying Live version of Walk the Line

Did you ever think one thing and type the other??? Well, duhhhhh.....this is what happened here. I meant to type: I JUST ASSUME SHE (ie: PAULA) AND SIMON MUST HAVE A THING GOING.
If this was a rip off... then every song sang on Idol is a rip off from the original.
I say let them sing their own written music and we will see who wins.
I am so sick of the media!!!
FROM CHRIS' AMERICAN IDOL BOARD ON FOX'S WEBSITE
Chris at the beginning of interview: I am doing I walk the line by Johnny Cash. It was written in 1955 and I think it was a very edgy song for its time.
Barry: Which song are you doing?
Chris: I walk the line by Johnny Cash.
Barry: Like I keep my eyes wide,
Chris: very different version, a very different version
Barry: Well good, lets , lets do it.
Back to Chris in interview
Chris: The lyrics have a lot of relevance to me, um because he wrote it for his wife at the time on how he was going to stay true to her even though he was touring the world.
Barry: Lets hear it first with the piano
Chris: As much as I respect Johnny Cashs creativity, we are going to try something different tonight.
Barry: Chris knocked me out. Um that was um a, I mean I know I walk the line just the way everybody else knows Johnny Cashs version of I walk the line. I v never heard this rendition of it.
Barry: Instead of the typical rock n roll half time, I was hearing that.
Back to Chriss interview
Chris: Working with Barry was awesome. He just seemed like a really genuine guy and was really wanting to help us make sure that we arranged these songs the best we could, to make them current and bring the best out of a song that we probably normally wouldnt do.
Barry: You dont need me baby, you got it. Out a all of them, um Chris seems to have a real good handle on who he is and what is his strength.
Randy: Chris, howd that feel man. How you feel about that?
Chris: Real good.
Randy: Youre always havin a good time on stage dont you. (screaming from the audience) Wow Let me say this, I dont think it was the best vocals youve done since youve been on the show, but what I loved about this, is you took a song, that everyone knows, you put a different spin on it, made it an alternative record, that fit exactly who you are and I love every week that you know exactly who you are, and you don't veer from that path."
Paula: There are a few of you American Idols on stage that I wait for everyweek that I cant wait to hear what youre gonna sing and what your gonna do, you are so true to who you are and you don't ever abandon that, that's what so amazing about you Chris, you grow and you grow"
Simon: I agree with Randy, I don't think it was the best vocal we have heard from you so far, but I don't think it matters because there is an enormous difference between what you just did then which was to take a great song, make it your own version, it was completely the opposite to what I hated about Buckys version of O'Boy. And actually, I've got to tell ya you are the first artist that we've ever had on this show who's actually refused to compromise. And for that Bravo.
WERE DID CHRIS HAVE THE CHANCE TO RESPOND TO SIMON'S COMMENTS? (Chris only responded to Randy's first question)
Chris could have mentioned it was Live's version when talking to Barry about doing it. Then everyone would have known, including the judges. But, he didn't. Or, if he did, it was cut out. Which is a bad thing to cut, if they did.
It did not become an issue until Simon opened his mouth. Gee do you think Chris was expecting Simon to say what he did? He probably figured Simon knew about "Live's" version of the song. I mean this is Simon's production. Maybe Ryan should have kept his mouth shut to give Chris a chance to say something back to Simon before cutting away to a commercial.
I think even Barry knew about it as Chris probably told him. What did Barry say... I mean I know I walk the line just the way everybody else knows Johnny Cashs version of I walk the line. Ive never heard this rendition of it. The wording sounds like they cut a lot away from when Chris was with Barry. You know they had to spend more than few minutes together.
Chris should not be taking the heat over this.
It made more sense the first way you wrote it.
Sounds like Barry hadn't heard Live's version of it. Either Chris didn't mention that it was Live's version, OR he did but it got cut out AND which would just add to AI's pimping for Chris, trying to make him look 'brilliant' jmo
I guess that would depend on whether Live acknowledged that they were performing a Cash song. Someone should have acknoledged that Chris' song was an arangement done by Live. jmo
Like I said this can get twisted around and around, again and again.
We will just have to wait until next week to see if someone says something about it. That someone should be SIMON and not Chris. (If Chris is given too much time in front of the camera, then again someone will say Chris is getting special treatment!...blah blah blah!)
Is this why Paula has been so giddy lately?
Paula Abdul Has a New Man
She was spotted at a recent West Hollywood function with actor Tony Schiena.
Friday, March 24, 2006
American Idol judge Paula Abdul has bounced back on the dating scene a month after tearfully admitting to Dr. Phil McGraw on a TV special that she has trouble finding true love.
The singer was spotted at a West Hollywood boutique opening on Tuesday night hand-in-hand with handsome actor Tony Schiena.
The pair pulled up in a Jaguar and slipped inside for the opening of Australian designer Leona Edmiston's store, where they sipped pomegranate martinis and held hands.
According to sources at the party, at one point the actor stood behind the petite star and wrapped his arm around her.
Schiena, who is from South Africa, was a black belt world karate champ before turning to acting. He has appeared in CSI:NY and also had a small role in 2004's 'The Merchant of Venice.'
Abdul's representative says the two are "just friends," while Schiena's representative says her client's "friendship" with Abdul started a year ago, when they met socially.
