Pittsburgh vs. Indianapolis 1:00 PM EST
Carolina vs. Chicago 4:30 PM EST
I have to wonder can the Steelers beat the Broncos at Invesco Field. We'll have to check the weather reports for next Sunday to find out....
Yes. Doesn't matter what the weather is. They play through it all.
Weather and crowd noise is one thing, but that 5,280 feet altitude could wind the Steelers fairly quickly.
Well, that nasty weather in Indy's dome (68º or so?) didn't seem to bother them. God, I hate indoor football.
Sorry................. I figured I'd try to ask you to see a liar out there!
Anyhow, you did not or you would not ......fine .....
I'm going to take a knee .....three times!
;-)
You can't just say whatever you want, include a smily face, and expect everyone to think it's just fine.
It's not.
The problem I have with Rex Grossman is he thinks that he's Marino even though he clearly isn't. At least Orton knows he isn't. However, both suck alot....
Maybe I'm just so tired of all Chicago sports teams, especially the Bears and the Cubs, of sucking SO much. However, I guess the Bears can get over the fluky season they had and get back to being the 5-11 team that they SO clearly demonstrated that they are today. Perhaps they should have just forfeited the game.
I think San Diego showed everyone the vulnerability of the Colts "small but quick" offensive line. Overwhelme them and they can't keep the defense off long enough for Manning to do his thing.
Blame that one on the coaching staff.
beyond the sea,Why don't we think more about this tom.:)
Things could be worse. Look at the Jets or the 49ers. So be a little more positive, they're moving in the right direction at least.
Somebody's in a real good mood right about now. Did you EVER think that Jake could have 300+ yards against THAT D. What a performance!!!It's a shame Foster's out of the picture though, but like I said last night Goings would get the job done and he did pretty well.
Defense was stretched a bit but stepped up when it had to. Chris Gamble-underappreciated stud in the making.
Just in case anyone didn't know before, they know now. I'll take STEVE SMITH over anyone(that includes T.O, Chad, Marvin or others)yesterday, today, until he retires. This is a MEGA-MEGA STUD. This is a .500 team(maybe)without him.
To win in Seattle will take a near perfect effort. With D-CON out, Goings and Brad Hoover must step up big time. Seattle's DB's play much more physical than Chicago's did, so expect Mangum, Proehl and Drew Carter to see some balls come their way. If Alexander is ineffective that of course helps a great deal D wise.
In the end Mike, one of your favorites has to lose and it's gonna be the home team. I'll say it right here right now, you can refer to the Panthers as SUPER BOWL CHAMPS in 3 weeks!!!!!
CAR 24
SEA 21 OT (just to be a little different)
No need to be so negative yu have one of the best young coaches in the league, a QB that missed 80% of the season but still won big games at the end of the year, A defense that played bad twice this year(@PIT and today)out of 17 games, soild RB (Thomas Jones)and WR Mushin Muhammed.
Another playoff appearence awaits the Bears next year, unlike in this town where a playoff run in 2010 may happen.

Yup. I'm in a REAL good mood about the Panthers.

We shall see. I know I'm going to have a great time with the game.
Grossman's way overrated and outside of Berrian, they have no WRs, so I very much doubt that they're going to "step up" next year.
The reason that the Bears had the record they did was because A. they had an easy schedule and B. the division imploded. They have a much harder schedule this year, and since the D showed themselves to be pretenders, I very much doubt that they'll have a winning record. I'll be shocked with 8-8.
LOL, most Chicagoans didn't even realize the White Sox existed until a week after the WS. : ) For them, it's all about the Cubbies.
You don't like Mohammed?
There's two types of sports fans in Chicago... A. the ones that are delusional (ie SNL's Bears Guys) and B. the ones that understand that Chicago's sports teams general tend to choke (the exceptions are the Sox last year (almost choked), and the Bulls during MJ's time). Criticizing one's team is an art form here.
As for the Bears, a much tougher schedule is going to keep them out of the playoffs next year. Plus, I'm not sure what exactly you see in Benson. I think that drafting him was one of the worst draft decisions that the Bears made in the last two years. They already have two running backs, and his holding out for more money was an unnecessary training camp distraction.
The White Sox almost choked this year as well; dropping almost all your games in September is not a way to win the World Series.
Frankly, the Cubbies, not the White Sox, are Chicago's baseball team, and they're the masters of choking. (See 2003 NL Championship). There was alot of bandwagon sport for the Sox though; people spent October pretending that they were really the Cubs and play at Wrigley.
