In case you missed it, Ted Kennedy was just on MSNBC (and ONLY on MSNBC) demanding a subpoena from Sen. Spectre for 20-year-old copies of a conservative Princeton publication housed in the Library of Congress. Clearly deranged, cloudy-eyed, and stumbling over his words, Kennedy met with what was clearly a hand-picked group of wholly supportive reporters to make his demand 'so that the Alito Hearing committee members can fully investigate the rumor that Alito belonged to a conservative group' that did not support the Cookoo-Bird Leftist agenda that is Kennedy's base.
Continuing...
It's on Rush now. Specter is slapping him silly.....
These guys are an embarrassment to our system. I can't believe the quality of people we settle for.
It's not you and I settling for them. We vote, but get out numbered by the numbskulls.......
Someone should ask Teddy what clubs he belonged while in college (before he was kicked out for cheating). Where this guy comes up with his moral outrage just defies comprehension.
It's making Rush LOL
I found this at Free Conservatives:
KENNEDY: And I want to do that at an appropriate time. Id move that the committee go into executive session for the purpose of voting on the issuancing of -- the sole purpose for issuing the subpoena of those records.
SPECTER: Well, well consider that, Senator Kennedy. There are many, many requests which are coming to me and many quarters. And, quite candidly, I view the request -- if its really a matter of importance, you and I see each other all the time and you have never mentioned it to me. And I do not ascribe a great deal of weight -- we actually didnt get a letter, but...
KENNEDY: You did get a letter. Are you saying...
SPECTER: Well, now wait a minute; you dont know what I got. Im about to...
KENNEDY: Yes I do, Senator, since I sent it.
SPECTER: Well, the sender does not necessarily know what the recipient gets, Senator Kennedy. You are not in a position to say what I receive. If youll bear with me for one minute.
KENNEDY: But I am in a position to say what I sent to you on December 22.
SPECTER: Youre in a position to tell me what you sent.
KENNEDY: I renew my request, Senator. And if Im going to be denied, then Id appeal the decision of the chair. I think we are entitled to this information. It deals with the fundamental issues of equality and discrimination. This nominee has indicated he has no objection to seeing us these issues. Weve gone over the questions and we are entitled to get that kind of information. And if youre going to rule it out of order, I want to have a vote on that here on our committee.
SPECTER: Well, dont be premature, Senator Kennedy. Im not about to make a ruling on this state of the record. I hope you wont mind if I consider it, and I hope you wont mind if I give you the specifics that there was no letter which I received. I take umbrage at your telling me what I received. I dont mind your telling me what you mailed. But theres a big difference between whats mailed and whats received. And you know that. Were going to move on now. Senator Grassley...
KENNEDY: Mr. Chairman, Id appeal the ruling of the chair on this.
SPECTER: There has been no ruling of the chair, Senator Kennedy.
KENNEDY: Well what is the -- my request is that we go into the executive session for the sole purpose of voting on a subpoena for these records that are held over at the Library of Congress -- that purpose and that purpose only. And if Im going to be denied that, Id want to give notice to the chair that youre going to hear it again and again and again and were going to have votes of this committee again and again and again until we have a resolution. I think its...
SPECTER: Well, Senator Kennedy, Im not concerned about your threats to have votes again, again and again. And Im the chairman of this committee and I have heard your request and I will consider it. And Im not going to have you run this committee and decide when were going to go into executive session. We are in the middle of a round of hearings. This is the first time you have personally called it to my attention, and this is the first time that I have focused on it. And I will consider in due course. Now well move to Senator Grassley for 20 minutes.
Mary Jo's family demanded a hearing as well.
So, now one is not worthy to be on SCOTUS if they belonged to a conservative club. But it was okay for Ginsberg to belong to the ACLU, that defender of child pornography and criminals.
Democrats are such hypocrites!
Give him a bottle of Scotch and tell him to shut up.
How about someone demand an Investigation into a certain campaign worker drowning back in Chappaquiddick?
![]() While we're filling out a subpoena for these unrelated documents, Specter should subpoena another set of unrelated papers from Chappaquiddick circa 1972. They have as much to do with this matter.

Judge Napolitano said that he himself was on the board of that organization. He said there was no membership and no meeting except for the board meetings. It was more a subscription to a magazine. I wish someone on the committee would check that out.
He also said that Laura Ingraham was a member.
He's used to being portrayed as a drunken old fool in private. But it really pisses him off when his constituents can see it on national TV.
I live for the day Teddy is sent packing from the Senate. But unfortunately for the country, the only way he'll leave his office is in a coffin.
Massachusetts' perpetual returning Kennedy to the Senate is the strongest argument for IQ tests for voters.
"the only way he'll leave his office is in a coffin"
That works for me.
Fun to watch.
That's a good way too.
