Perhaps the first thing that leaps out is that it's a very Beatle-centric list. "Sgt. Pepper" is No. 1 as it often is in such lists, but two of the top three albums are by the Beatles, three of the first five and four of the first 10.
The first 10 are:
1) "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by the Beatles 2) "Pet Sounds" by the Beach Boys 3) "Revolver" by the Beatles 4) "Highway 61 Revisited" by Bob Dylan 5) "Rubber Soul" by the Beatles 6) "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye 7) "Exile on Main Street" by the Rolling Stones 8) "London Calling" by the Clash 9) "Blonde on Blonde" by Bob Dylan 10) "The Beatles" (The White Album) by the Beatles

Saw the tour in '71, Baltimore. Whoa Nelly.
Especially the version of "Midnight Rambler" ....chilling.
VG album. Watched sunrise with that one. Probably one of the first rock/spiritual albums. I Can Hear Him In The Morning. I have to get that one.
saucer full of secrets.
way early floyd.
Yeah, there were several Led Zep tunes in Almost Famous. I can't believe Zep will put their songs in commercials now, but I can't get them on iTunes.
Just to be different... Weather Report "Heavy Weather".
Okay, I just read your profile page and I see that your screen name is indeed from the Peter Green song! That's cool. Certainly better than "Green Manalishi'. And by the way, Peter Green is also my favorite guitarist (maybe tied with Peter Haycock of another band that's in my top five bands, The Climax Blues Band).
Oh, and Johnny Winter and LIVE as another great live album. His covers of Jumpin Jack Flash and Johnny B. Goode are all anyone from another planet need to hear someday to comprehend the meaning of the concept of Rock and Roll
The beatles were amazing.
But I just dont compare music nowadays.
Unless its RAP and everything else. Everything beats RAP
The Anti-Nowhere League - "Live in Yugoslavia" works just fine that way. Women will jump out of moving vehicles when you play 'Let's Break The Law'.
They helped to start a war. So F'n What do you expect? LOL!! Pick this one up. It's a blast:):) Cats and dogs will even run away:)
LOL True. I am still not a wholehearted Beatles fan, but I can enjoy some of their tunes.
Ever hear "Rattlesnake Guitar" by various artists or "Blues for Greeny" by Gary Moore? Both excellent tribute to Peter Green albums. And "Then Play On" remains my No. 1 favorite album after all these years.
savoy brown is as good as it gets.
tell mama, hellbound train, i'm tired, street corner talkin'
man 23 albums and only a handfull of songs on the radio.

Hello?
"Ever now and then I know its kind of hard to tell, but I'm still alive and well"!
On that last, Who's Next and Tommy were more accessible works; Quadrophenia, though, is the real masterpiece. There are few songs with a bass line that can compare with that in The Real Me.
