79 points. There can be no "key" interceptions, fumbles or 4th down stops when the offenses are otherwise scoring at will; all there can be is occassional aberations that go other than the trend of the game.

I don't know if Bruschi will be his usual force with the calf injury. This could be it if the Pats can't stop the run. Tonight might be the night that somebody covers Vrabel. LOL

That means a running back who crosses the goal line can theorically fumble after scoring.

Joint us in reality - it was a pass and the man did not have possession. No catch. The Ref did not hand the game to the Bucs for the second time.

No because the runningback already has possession. Like I said the key is "with possession" a receiver that is falling during the reception is not "with possession" until he finishes falling, his feet are immaterial (unless one comes down out of bounds), what matters is possession, he didn't have it. An RB that already has possession ends play when the ball touches the line so there can't be a fumble because play is over, play isn't over on a pass until it's a reception or not.

actually, USC was scoring so fast, most of the 4th QTR was defensive.

Halftime was only 16-7.

You are missing the point.

If you didn't watch the game, you can point to the score all you want, but if you didn't watch the game, you can't really tell me what went on, because I DID watch it.

I believe you. If Dallas had been on defense it would have been ruled a TD.

Calls in previous games usually do not have bearing on calls in current games, as was just proven.

Paybacks are hell, but that doesn't particularly concern me, not being a Tampa Bay fan. The game should've gone to OT, with Washington winning.

The key there being revenue. THe idiotic bowl system that sends nearly half the teams to meaningless (but lucrative) bowl games exists to spread the revenue. That's why there will never be a playoff system and that's why the "championship" will always be silly.

Ok, good!

Last night, I watched an awesome Stars game and nailbiter Mavericks game. Plenty of sports happening right now.

I think the Pats, also.

The bucs receiver caught the ball, took two steps and fell to his knees then lost the ball. That sounds like possession to me.

Not on a bet, unless it was Dallas trying to catch the ball. The league worships Dallas, they are "America's team" just ask big Paul.

Wether the call was right or not doesn't bother me. I consider it a payback for the lousy call on Alstott's TD in the first game. I guess it all evens up. Go Skins!

when I was 15, I went to Jacksonville Fl and saw UNC play Arkansas in the gator bowl. I had a good ole time and I was only 15. It was a nice trip. Fans enjoy traveling to bowls.

There's no point to miss. Any game where both teams get 35 points is not a game I want to watch ever. I can tell what went on, the teams scored 79 points, that's a game that would bore me to tears. Glad you liked it, equally glad I never considered watching it for a second.

The game should've gone to OT, with Washington winning.

The man did not have possession of the ball - there was no question. With a pass, you must have possession of the pass before you can score - the man never had possession of the ball (this is obvious when you watch the reply and see the ball free below his waist when he hit the ground (he scooped it back up to pretend he caught it)). The Ref did not hand the game to TB - so by the rules TB lost just as they should have lost earlier in the season.
