I do see we have William Cooper threads here.
I'm currently without an opinion.
Ping for later.

There is a lot of stuff that checks out. Problem is, even if it is 100% on track, most people will sit on their butts. The average person does not want to hear scary stuff, and will turn on a persistent messenger.
Another dead psychotic.
for later, much later
The best way to approach this, for me, is to consistently serve the Lord. His Kingdom shall overtake the kingdoms of the world, and the Gospel must be preached to everyone first- then the end shall come. Overwhelming victory is prophecied.
Personally, I don't give a flying crap what the Antichrist is up to. God's agenda is much more interesting!
Hmmm. Interesting that he couches the UFO hoax as a fake threat of universal proportions. I guess he expects the control freaks to present an alien threat as a catalyst for unification of the earth's nations.
Sort of how 'global warming' is used now- as a universal threat- which is a catalyst for the establishment of policies and political influence across national boundaries. (Kyoto.) After perestroika, Gorbachev said he would invest his energies into the environmental movement. Is there any doubt why?
I expect the increase of God's Kingdom to continue and actually accelerate, to the point that miracles, mass conversions and related phenomena occur on a much larger scale than they do right now. So as the manifestation of supernatural power increases, this gives the alien hoax creedence among those who refuse to believe God. A logical 'out'. Then they play into the hands of the control freaks.
Well said sir! the problem with this stuff and it's ilk is that it takes our 'eye off the ball' - we invest time in stuff that is pointless - and I'm sad to say Evangelical Christians are often taken in by it.
Absolutely. All this 'end times' stuff is a distraction.
I want to know what God is doing NOW, not what Satan plans to do in the future. Sure, he may get his temporary worldwide kingdom eventually, but God will get His eternal one first.
I suspect you have some sound points.
One theologic perspective faithfully accepts that there is a reason for all things. Perhaps not in our local domain, but maybe for the view of the angelic.
If I study the ressurrection and the rapture, along with a release of an army of demons from below the Euphrates, then I observe a general SciFi theme that is now accepted as commonplace, that touches upon the 'living dead', zombies, hostile aliens, it would appear that these thought inducing films, although rather innocuous, might actually be placing seeds of thoughts in minds to prepare for Scripturally prophesized events. If so, I suspect their origin might be steeped more in malevolent deception or demonic influence, than upon conspiracy.
It is interesting that Command and Staff College today places much more emphasis upon the fog of war than other aspects of strategic and tactical thinking.
If righteous leadership identified domestic enemies within, blending into a hodgepodge of domestic culture, even to the point of migrating amongst one's peers, and wanted to develop their junior officers to be prepared for unforeseen threats by that insufficiently opposed threat, I know of no better way than to teach all officers about the Fog of War. Then allow those who are also righteous to identify the situation as it evolves.
If the 'end-times' stuff is a distraction, I don't think such a large portion of Scripture would have been dedicated to discussing it.
I see it as one and the same. If you think about it, the plans and strategies of demonic opposition are a conspiracy, if you define it as an unseen plot to accomplish a certain goal. That's interesting about the Fog of War. Are you saying that in military school, the 'big picture' view is emphasized, and each individual is expected to gravitate to their role, after which the tactical naturally follows? Please expand that idea, and how it relates to the spiritual.
I agree that there's a lot in there, but it comes down to interpretation. Let's take The Revelation of Jesus Christ. Some people think it's all about the end of the world. I happen to think it's all about the Kingdom of God, and how it advances into the world.
Jesus specifically does address the end of the world in Matthew 24 & 25. My favorite verse is Matt 24:14- "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
I take the 'Gospel of the Kingdom' to mean the physical manifestation of signs and wonders that accompanies and confirms the proclaimed Gospel. Paul talks about preaching it in the demonstration of the Spirit and power.
We need more of that!
You may find a Scriptural word study of terms and names associated with masonry to be very interesting and consistent with the conspiracy theories presented by Cooper. Craftsmen, builders, overseers, masons, have an interesting history. Entrance to masonry is prohibited for those who declare their belief in God through faith in Christ, but allowed of those who simply declare a belief in God. The linkages between the occult and the Kabalah in Judaism, is very consistent with a number of passages speaking of builders and masons and possibly may be associated with the conspiracy spoken of by Cooper.
For example in Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
This same report occurs in 3 of the 4 Gospels. Its import may be more significant than merely restating an allegory of our Lord's omnipotence.
Also in Revelation, the destroyed Babylon will no longer have any builders or craftsmen found to repair it.
I've heard stories about the Masons, Illuminati, Scripture Codes and such. I haven't had enough time to read more on those theories (yet)
I posted this for my own reference to look up more about what Cooper may have found out in Vietnam.
