Well said sir! the problem with this stuff and it's ilk is that it takes our 'eye off the ball' - we invest time in stuff that is pointless - and I'm sad to say Evangelical Christians are often taken in by it.
Absolutely. All this 'end times' stuff is a distraction.
I want to know what God is doing NOW, not what Satan plans to do in the future. Sure, he may get his temporary worldwide kingdom eventually, but God will get His eternal one first.
