Bad girl, bad, bad! I'll have to show that to Clare tomorrow, though I predict it may be as bad a time sink for her as Wikipedia. She's happy that the curriculum she's working in now allows her to look all kinds of stuff up, and she usually goes first to Wikipedia, then takes off from there.
my quickest solution time has been thus far 5:53.
Goooooooood morning!
Oh no!!
Dratted trolls!
~sip~
Is it Friday yet?
Good Moening HH Dwellers!
May 27!
If only it were possible... *sigh*
BTW - I remember back when we were eagerly searching out bits of spoiler video for LoTR, that we would always get stumped trying to get screencaps from Windows Media or avi files. Penny found that editing program that could do it, but most of us didn't have it.
Well here's the thing. I was browsing around my own computer the other day and I found "Microsoft Movie Maker" on it. I guess it came with either my XP or my Office. It can edit Windows media clips easily, I figured out how, just messing around, to shorten or combine video clips or even insert titles or credits or captions... and.... It does screencaps. Was a real user-friendly little program. I don't know when I got it or how, but I thought I'd mention it.
Hey, I was lurking on the thread
looks like we've lost Corin.
I guess his job won't let him freep durong the daytime?
Hi, Hair!
Well not totally disallowing it but he is trying to cut back. I was too... but have stopped for some reason I can't think of at the moment.
Morning... am I distracting you? :-D
I think Clare used Microsoft Movie Maker for the very first Anime Music Video that she created. We got her a different video editing program (ULead) for Christmas last year, and she made the two for AnimeBoston using the ULead program.
Nope, because I'm drinking coffee now and I feel the same way! What a great group of friends! This is a rare thing, you know...
I actually found out that one of the ladies is pregnant last night. This lady lost a baby over the summer, before all the uproar and split and she got meals and such...so when the split happened, you could tell she was really torn. But she chose to be part of our little group of ladies and even though I've known her for years, I've gotten to know her so much more now...much closer.
It makes her pregnancy all the more exciting and not only that, she asked me if I would let everyone know! It was a great honor to me to get to announce it on the egroup! My BA CHEF egroup, that I refused to hand over.
I'm grinning still!
Btw, our "little group" got three more members last night...we're up to 45! Although this tickles me on the one hand, on the other I don't want to loose our close fellowship because of being too large. We'll see.
Oh, and one more thing...
Last year, before the split, when we had 150 members, 55 of which were egroup members, we had 104 posts in December. This year, with 42 members, 32 being egroup members, we had 409 posts in December!!!
Smarter people than me will have to figure out the actual percentages and such, comparing the two groups...but it seems to me that they had less egroup members last year percentagewise and didn't have much to say where as we have more egroup members this year percentagewise and we visit with each other constantly!
And a member who signed up for both groups but later decided to just participate in ours also belongs to the other groups egroup...she said they got 35 posts in December!
~grinning ear to ear~
Clearly a case of schadenfreude!
I think that is the perfect word.
Not ignoring Precious. Just busy this morning.
You can distract me anytime ;-D
