Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Say? Wasn't Ramius supposed to work on those six-figure salaried jobs for us? Wuhappen to dat? ;-)
Oh, and Ramius - great idea, but I'd be scared they'd see through the trick and then they'd ~really~ blow their noses on it. :-P
Off to bed (for real). Sweet dreams!

Almost ready with the salaries. All I need is an idea for a new company that will be worth zillions of dollars. Except for that, I'm all ready.

To: RosieCotton

I have an idea for that. I'll sell it to you for one zillion dollars, in cash.

Alas, the spies of Saruman have unearthed one of the missing pilantirs and with it they can see deep into the heart of Fangorn.
From this day forward, Corin must continue his journey traveling the thread only by night.
Of this matter, in ~this place~, I will speak no more...

Well, I'll say.
I tell ya, though, my friend...I just got in from my BA CHEF mom's meeting and had the best time. I told Steve that I find it amazing that to get to this wonderful fellowship of friends I had to go through such tumult and *loose* a friend in the process.
I feel like I've climbed out of the depths of hell sometimes and what I have now is amazing.
Maybe it's just the cholesterol medicine.
