I got a lousy cold. My head hurts, my ears are ringing, I'm sneezing, coughing and my temps 99.9!!! Almost a hundred!!!. Nobody cares...*sniff*...My Dad calls me and tells me not to come over till I'm over it. My MOTHER tells me it's a shame and how she wishes I was 6 months old so she could cuddle me...but to forget it now that I'm in my 40's with a cold...*sniff*...
My roommate is held up in his room with a barricade of Lysol, pictures of the Virgin Mary and a list of things for me NOT to touch posted on his door....in English and Spanish...
1: No toque la televisión!
2: No toque el refrigerador!
3: No beba del cartón de la leche!
My sister tells me that at least I caught it now, before the really cold weather starts and could she have my Lap Top when I've gone...*sniff*...
The clerk at 7 Eleven THREW my change at me after ringing up my cup of Coffee....My Boss tells me to stay at home
she doesn't want anything from me...accept reliability and accuracy
. Ill remember ALL of this after I win the Lotto....

I think you need to go to a small tropical island where the sun is shining EVERY DAY, there are no snowstorms, and when you win the lotto, perhaps you will remember who gave you this great idea..

LOL! I also have a cold..... AAaaaaaaCHOOOOOOOOO!!! (Wonder what AAAAaaaaaCHOOOOOOOOO is in Spanish?) Cough, Cough!!! Sniffle sniffle..... feel sorry for me.... great idea for a thread.
I made the mistake of taking cold capsules with the warning of "may cause excitability in young children" for some reason any time "I" take a cold/flu product with this on the label I end up staying awake for hours and hours-even stuff that is supposed to make you sleep.
I should have known better, but I was feeling so miserable earlier. Hope you feel better.

FWIW, try Zycam within 48 hours of noticing symptoms- it thoroughly nuked a head cold I was developing this week.

I mention this because the stuff really did abort a nasty headcold I caught- standing outside for half an hour in damp, bitter wind a few days ago, I developed classic cold symptoms- sniffles, sneezes, runny nose, general ache-all-over, creepy-crud feeling.
I saw this stuff in the cold remedy department, noted that it mentioned "use within 48 hours of noticing symptoms," and decided to give it a try.
The directions say to apply every 4 hours, but after a couple of uses, the symptoms vanished, permanently.
And the cold was "trying to settle in my chest," as we used to say when I was a kid long ago- it was migrating downward, but the Zycam stopped it. Amazing, really.

Does it stop your hair from hurting? My hair hurts. Oh no. You're hair hurts? I'm sorry to say that the only time my hair hurt was when I got the absolute worst flu ever! I did not get out of bed for 7 days. In fact, I couldn't move without feeling like my body was going to brake in two. The good news is, I lost 10 pounds.
I hope that's not what you have. Eat some chicken soup and get some rest. I feel for you.

Dang! brake = break. Too early and not enough coffee in the veins yet this morning.

I will second that. But don't get the nose spray, it can cause problems with your nose if you don't use it right.
Two products that I use are the new shower soothers. There is nothing like standing in hot steam while menthol vapors strong enough to peel wallpaper waft around you.
And a box of Celestial Seasonings "Cold Care Tea"
Good Stuff.
