Your heartbeat accelerates, you have butterflies in the stomach, you feel euphoric and a bit silly...and scientists now tell us the feeling won't last more than a year.
Great, I hate those feelings.

Whenever I tried to talk to girls in HS, I first would start shaking...I mean uncontrollably. Then the heart racing. And for some reason, when I get nervous, I yawn like no one has ever yawned before. Then, my teeth get warm. It's awful.
After saying Hello, I would run away fast to end the horror.

nothing will be a match for genuine love. I just hope I am lucky enough to feel it even once in my life.

Hangin, in there.. It has been a HARD week. Money problems, more money problems... and JUST in time for Christmas.. Couple that, with being alone(as usual), other than my mother and sister, and this is NOT shaping up to be a good Christmas!!
BUT-- ONE area, where the Lord so far has been IMPECCABLY faithful, toward my family, is our health. Other than the usual colds, flu, and such, and my nervous problem , NO ONE in my household EVER gets seriously sick, or get badly hurt!! I attribute this to God watching over us!! Just a couple of weeks ago-- I had a tire on my van, that was starting to separate, just a bit on one side (I THOUGHT). But, it did not LOOK too bad.. SO, I drove on it, a few days, anyway. About two Saturdays ago, I went out to eat, with my family, and the tire seemed ok... UNTIL, I had parked the van, BACK in our driveway.. at which point, it went FLAT at ONCE.. I looked and the WHOLE BACK SIDE, had separated!!! I could had been in a BAD accident, had that happened on the road, AND, Since it was a Sunday night(the following day), and I didn't want to mess up my clothes from church, I decided to have AAA change the tire.... Good thing, as the old one was STUCK ON, and had to be beaten off!! I do NOT attribute all of that as LUCK... God does watch over my family.
Now, if he would just bless us a bit more financially..... maybe next year... he will do something with my script... if he sees fit to do so.

Ask your dr about a beta blocker. Sometimes people take it for stage fright just before giving a speech.

Oh, I'm good at making speeches and public speaking...talking to people in front of crowds...but person to person, now that's scary. I don't really like to take drugs of any kind though...I just don't like it. I'm a non-drugger.

A few girls, but I don't think any of them would have talked to me. I 5'8", out of shape and wear glasses. It would be so nice to feel attractive. That sounds just like me, welcome to the club.

The worst is when people insist you talk to them, and then it doesn't seem to work. In school (do I use that phrase a lot), that would happen all the time. Sometimes, I was perfectly content to sit by myself in the cafeteria, but noooo....someone always had to come "rescue me" and bring me over to their friends to introduce me...and then it's like, awkward...I'm having trouble talking to these people, and yet I don't want to be impolite...

For many years people have told me that I am very attractive, but so far, it hasn't done me an ounce of good.

Well, when you're making a speech or whatever, everyone is looking at you, and you have their attention, and you're in control of the situation. One on one, people tend to get distracted, look away, not listen to you...
Sometimes for me, I'd be talking to someone and while I was in mid-sentence, they'd turn around and start talking to someone else.

It wouldn't do me much good either, but then again I'm not very good-looking, so it doesn't matter anyhow.
To: darkangel82
The most important thing I think is charm and personality over looks. "It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing..." a perfect song illustrating my own life. I have no charm really.
