Man Smokes, Urinates In Aisle; United Diverts Flight,
POSTED: 11:24 am EST November 26, 2005
UPDATED: 11:35 am EST November 26, 2005
CHARLOTTE, N.C -- Pilots diverted a United Airlines flight traveling from Orlando, Fla., to Washington, D.C., after a passenger lit a cigarette and urinated in the aisle.
The plane landed Friday night in Charlotte, N.C., where the man was taken into custody by federal authorities.
A United Airlines spokeswoman said flight attendants noticed the man appeared drunk not long after the plane left Orlando. She said the man later lit a cigarette and began to argue with a flight attendant who asked him to put it out.
The spokeswoman said that, after the exchange, the man stood up and urinated in the plane's aisle.

-----Either he was drunk when THEY let him on, Miss spokeswoman, or the attendent ALLOWED him to drink too much inflight. I should think if a stewerdess noticed someone was getting drunk they would cut them off and say "no more" before he became sh** faced. Either way, I would have rubbed his face in it and dragged him to the potty and said "bad boy" , your supposed to pee in there. He probably wasn't house broke.

He probably got 90% sloshed in an airport bar. Then one in-flight rum and Coke later sent him over the edge.

100+ small claims actions
Which lends itself to a question. Where would they be filled? Departure, arrival or the over flight area at the time? LOL

Well I can't blame Dubya for trying,
but my guess is he'll have to set him free.

He had to have appeared drunk before he boarded the plane.
Bad oversight.

And they want to allow knives and boxcutters back on board!
All you need is a druken slob with a knife, stuck in a confined space.
The stupidity of the TSA is overwhelming.

He would be dissected with his own knife. think of it as in-flight entertainment.

They're a persecuted minority, I tell ya! I'll light one up once in a while, but I'm a firm believer in the superiority of smokeless tobacco over cigarettes, if you're gonna have a nicotine habit.

I am an older woman who took her first flight since 9/11 just a couple of weeks ago. I was very nervous.
TSA was extremely pleasant. I was neither wanded nor patted down. I kept my shoes on on the outward flight. One overweight bag was searched and they left a sticker on the tag and a printed note inside. On the way home from Maui, my bag was searched in front of me with one of those circular detectors for explosives (a zipper on my bag had a problem, the TSA person showed it to me and then she fixed it) and I did have to take off my Tevas. I only had to tiptoe about 5 feet on the bare floor to retrieve them. I felt a lot more sorry for the TSA employee in gloves who had to handle everyone's shoes. I had forgotten an electronic lighter in my purse. The X-ray machine caught it, the guy correctly ID'd it as an electronic, found it quickly and was very pleasant and even mentioned that they had matches available. Since it was an oversight on my part, I already had matches.
All in all, it was not a bad experience and I was impressed by the speed and courtesy of the process. I saw no one treated rudely, wanded, patted down or subjected to any humiliation. There were several couples with children and some elderly who were slow/disabled. If I wanted to quibble, I could say that the male agents checking baggage left a mess, but the female agents performed a thorough check without wrinkling a thing.
