I'd be happy to chat, but this middle-aged spinster is too busy working on her masterpiece. . . Are Cats Really Necessary? An indepth, soulful look at he plight of the modern spinster and her search for the purrfect companion. Chapters include:

1. Cats are just not into you.

2. When bad cats happen to bitter spinsters.

3. Am I too smart to attract a cat of my own?

4. The red claws diaries.

5. The Secret Language of Cats: What they are really saying about you when they purr.

6. 10 simple things spinsters do to p***s off their cats.

7. Toxic Litterboxes and how to change them.

8. The Rules: Time tested secrets for finding a cat who will allow you to serve him.

9. Catworld.

Yes, as you can see I'm MUCH too busy to play.

Speaking of toxic litterboxes. . .

I imagine that there are enough preliminaries that you would know a little something about one another, but my fear would be everything I had planned to talk about was gone or fallen apart within minutes followed by ear splitting silence(shudder).

I kind of have the personality of a rock

So find a similar woman. Obviously you wouldn't be happy or comfortable around an extroverted woman, so find a woman who also has the personality of a rock. You'll get along just fine, kind of like two dachschunds.

Looks like we're going to have a lot of posts this week.

Strange, though, that it seems to take so long for people on the ping list to show up. All the first people on my cartoon ping list are people I know on the singles thread. But I don't know if any of them look at the cartoons; they rarely respond.

Hey, no sweat, cool cartoon, I do resd them but if I don't have anything to contribute, I just sit by and "read the mail." Trust me, I'm sure your cartoons are getting out there and seen by many more than do respond. It's like when I key up my amateur radio, i'm sure a lot of hams and others hear me but they might not respond because they are busy and so on so they just "copy the mail" by listening to the chatter on the radio if I do get someone. I remember on Labor Day, 2001, I was up on Lake Erie and tried to get local Erie hams to talk to me on 2 meters. No luck, must have been enjoying the holiday so I fumbled with my police scanner, heard Ontario PPD (Provincial Police Department, their frequencies are just below 2 meters) so I decided to see if I can hear any Canadian hams. Well, I did, fired up my walkie talkie and made contact with them. One interesting thing, my signal went over 50 miles of water and 20 to 30 miles inland, and I kept the radio at low power (1 watt) and just used the rubber ducky antenna so I was "running less than barefoot" too.

I know. It is odd. I wonder why so few people respond to your cartoons? I think they are perfect. I mean the media is like hw ou depeict them.

I too have a similar personality. How would you find a woman who is equally sh and introverted? Since she would likely make herself 'invisible' too.
