True, but Eddie had been clean and sober for around 4 years, as far as I know

Great story about Kamala. He must have gotten a kick out of how scared you looked. I would have been scared too.
In the mid-1990's I met & had a nice conversation with then 'Lord Steven Regal' now 'William Regal' whose real name is Darren Matthews the II. He is a regular, nice bloke from Blackpool and massive in person. We spoke for about 15 minutes between matches.

Makes sense - he is a longtime Arizonian and Eddie just moved his family to Arizona just a couple of weeks ago. I think he knew Graham, also.
Sad day.

No, "Elijah Wood reached the pinnacle of his career by starring in the LOTR movies." would be comparable to "The pinnacle of his career was when he stared at No Way Out 2004,"

The wrestling business does not use terminology like that. I've watched wrestling for 20+ years and the person who wrote the article phrased it correctly.
Anyway, I'm tired of this debate, a good man is dead, and all the arguing in the world won't change that fact.

Wow another Kennedy fan!! Really like that guy and his announcer gimmick.
It's probably the best angle that they've come up with in a long long time.

Jim Ross is being run out of town? What is that all about? Last I remember, he was virtually second in command of the company.

My son said he saw TNA on Spike-TV. I do not know if it was a one shot deal or not.

I agree with you assessment of JArrett making it look small time, but is he not an owner?

TNA has a weekly show on Spike and will be doing special 2-hour shows every couple of months!

The Jarretts (father Jerry and son Jeff) originally financed the promotion but had to be bailed out by a group called Panda Entertainment, and its now the baby of a suit named Dixie Carter. They own controlling interest and worked hard to get TNA on Spike, cut a videogame deal, etc.
Jerry is basically on the outs with the promotion, I think. I admit I don't follow the behind the scenes TNA stuff closely, so I'm not 100% sure of any of this, but I think the consensus is that Jerry has no stroke left with the company and since Jeff is the biggest name they have, he is champ until they either develop or get a big name to carry the company.
WWE's Christian debuted tonight at the TNA PPV under his old ring name, Christian Cage. He isn't a big enough star, though, for the role.

Gertner was amazing on the mic.
He could whip the ECW hall into a frenzy with one raised eyebrow -- I remember nights that he'd stand there while the fans screamed for ten minutes, before he could open up and start with the smarm.
I'd, uh, love to see him work the mic again.
God knows what he could insinuate with THAT line.

how long ago was the airplane incident?
Lesnar is only 24 years old....and I don't believe that Scott Hall and him worked together at the same time when Mr. Perfect was alive....

Supposedly he had been clean for 6 years. Met him on a flight about 5 years ago (he was with Brisco, Edge and Christian) and seemed like a nice enough guy, telling jokes to the stewardess.
Condolences to his family.

Anybody ever notice that the Jump-The-Shark moment for "professional" wrestling was when WWF changed its name to WWE? Now the HOT sport to watch on the tube is tournament poker.

I miss ECW too, everytime they were in Milwaukee I would go and see them. The tickets were cheap, the action was great, and it was a fun show.

I can't help but laugh how they report this as if it was a genuine sports accomplishment.I'd like to see any of us get bounced around like these performers and then attempt to say there was no "accomplishment".
