If someone points one out to me, then I might give him a chance. But I still have yet to find someone who can point one out to me. All I get is "You should do this, and you should do that, and maybe you might find someone."

If you get you should do this and that, you are speaking to unavailable people (at least at that moment).
There are lots of professional clubs and alumni associations available on your campus, just avoid the pole dancing club since you are a business professional (not monkey business).

but where will the fishies swim? I'm told there is a most profound moat, but 'Face's tour hasn't got there yet.
Now, unsaid is what Darks might keep in the moat...

Inhabitant of the North side of the moat.. it has tentacles and a beak!
The other sides.. umm.. we have Nessie (On vacation.) and a sunbathing Yeti.
*checking paperwork*
Can't read the last two.
Looks like it says "thikwikka yik yik" and 'sql'jhgraaa'.

It's not what Darks keeps...the most is inhabited by our pleisiosaur and her offspring. While we believe she is not carniverous, one can never tell, so always swim with a buddy.
It's the lower levels that Darks takes care of. Sometimes, the walls "shift" so it's difficult to get one's bearings in trying to find the way back to the upper levels.
Bob is actually in charge of the moat and the surrounds. He can answer most of your queries, I'm sure.

the moat is the most?
while I agree it makes a nice swimming hole, I dunno if I would call it "the most"
