LOL I was in the canteen thread.
I'm sorry I've been IMing him tonite and just noticed the thread and alerted him to it
I put the notebook computer into the shopping cart, but I have yet to complete the deal. It's a big purchase, but I also think that it's not a bad purchase due to the fact that I would always be using it.
It's not one of those "I've got to get me a toy" sort of thing. I find myself throughout the day wishing I had one -- especially in class.
Great memories. Wish you could have her now but I also think, if my kids could say the same, I'd die happy.
24? That is sweet! You are from Israel? That means you are IDF?
What the heck you doing online looking?
Yes that is true.
Yep, I'm told by some that I am a "catch" (whatever the hell that means) but most of my emails on personals boards go unanswerd. I do have a date lined up for tomorrow, however.
One of the drawbacks to this job I'm doing now is that we're setting up new computers - all day every day - and then I gotta come home to my old system. It's making me very envious!
I know what that is like.
Perhaps if you're young. But no, I'm not at all depressed. I've been through two men, one for 25 years and one for 1 year. I can't say I would give up what I have for marriage. I'm pretty calloused.
You're a digitial Jezebel! LOL! Actually, I'm not too impressed with the refurbished offerings of Dell -- their hard drives are much too small.
I'm actually leaning towards this:

I wish the video card were a bit better, but dedicated video is definitely the way to go. I also like that it's a 64-bit system, which is the programming of the future.
Listen, when you get married your single life won't matter at all. No one who wins a championship dwells on how hard the training was.
What exactly do you mean?
I mean that you should view your singleness as preparation for marriage. Sure, it's tough, but once you're married you won't dwell on how tough it was. The only thing that will matter is her.
Well hopefully I make it to the marraige point
You two are just too cute.
Looks nice, though heavy. A lot depends on how often you plan to carry it around. But 100GB? Mmm...that'd hold a lot of music. That's my main space hog.
I almost bought an HP last time I was looking (years ago, at this point), but I chickened out. I HATED the Compaq desktop I had once (worst purchase of my life), and since HP purchased them and I believe certain models are all but identical, HP to Compaq. Also I wouldn't have been able to see one in person as I was still in the boondocks at that point, and we used Dells and Toshibas at work, so I knew kinda what those were like. Ended up with a refurbished Inspiron 8100 - I waited until one with the features I wanted came along at a price I could handle, and then jumped for it. It's been pretty good, for the most part.
I believe I've heard good things about recent HPs, what little I've heard.
The life of a PhD student. I chose this path, and I don't plan on giving it up.
