Welcome!!!

"We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight...

...We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois' law enforcement community who have chosen to join us here at the Place Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show and remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same...

...You, me, them, everybody..."

"…You know people, when you do find that special somebody, you gotta hold that man, hold that woman, love him, please him, squeeze her, please her, signify your feelings with every gentle caress…because it’s so important to have that special somebody to hold, to kiss, to miss, to squeeze, and please…"

I don't believe in it either, but it's fun to look at.

I'm with the blogger -- who comes up with this stuff, and why?

I think I saw a "Which Celebrity Would be Best for You?" thing like that once. I didn't bother looking to see, though.

Hornbeam tree: "...dreams of unusual lovers..."

I think you need a better explanation than that! :-)

I don't believe in such hocus pocus. It says I'm a birch tree...WHAtever.

What do you have against birch trees? ;-)

I guess nothing, since I am one and all.

#455

Sounds like a book perfect for guys. My friends book is listed under "romantic adventure", more of a ladies type book.

And if finding a typo in someone's book makes me an editor...then, then I guess I am! No, we all work together, a couple other ladies proofed her book.

Small typo's, one is watchED and the other was something like "then he took her out of cavern" instead of "then he took her out of the cavern".

Silly things, still haven't decided to tell her. If I do tell her, maybe she'll let me proofread her next book and I won't have to buy it! :^) Just kidding, I'd buy it anyway.

I think she deserves to know, IMHO.

Quit your whining, could be worse. You could be a hornbeam tree and "dream of unusual lovers" (like sheep and goats and such).

Yes, hornbeams are much easier to ridicule than birch trees.

"Birch Tree (Inspiration) -- vivacious, attractive, elegant, friendly, unpretentious, modest, does not like anything in excess, abhors the vulgar, loves life in nature and in calm, not very passionate, full of imagination, little ambition, creates a calm and content atmosphere."

Describes me somewhat, but gets a few things wrong.

Cool. The kind of romance I like in a story would be like how it was done with Princess Leia and Han Solo. That is the two who look like the least compatible.

And if finding a typo in someone's book makes me an editor...then, then I guess I am! No, we all work together, a couple other ladies proofed her book.

LOL I am doing mine 100% on my own.

Small typo's, one is watchED and the other was something like "then he took her out of cavern" instead of "then he took her out of the cavern".

Grammarcal typos are always the toughest to find.

Silly things, still haven't decided to tell her. If I do tell her, maybe she'll let me proofread her next book and I won't have to buy it! :^) Just kidding, I'd buy it anyway.

LOL. I will offer mine free to any friends. Although I am only done with 111 pages out of a planned 400 to 600. Working on it though.

I like that your book will be long. I wish hers was longer, perhaps future books will be. It was long enough and extremely well written with humor and drama, very touching in places. I also liked that she finally armed our little heroine, it really scared me all the danger around her, I kept thinking, she needs a gun! She inherited a lighthouse from her parents and it gets dangerous. I was also happy, though it was romantic, it wasn't explicit at all, no more than kisses and hugs. I'm not sure I could go back to work and look her in the face if all I could think of is "Ingrid, shame on you, I know what goes on in that mind of yours!"

Hey, don't give your book away, even to friends. They cost money to print. I'm sure you must enjoy writing or you wouldn't do it but you need to make money on it too!

I am making mine long for the same reason. It is no fun when a good story is short. You just want it to go on forever. So 400 to 600 is my aim because of that. Longer allows for more details too.

You have a good point. And I do enjoy writing. A lot.
