"We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight...
...We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois' law enforcement community who have chosen to join us here at the Place Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show and remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same...
...You, me, them, everybody..."
" You know people, when you do find that special somebody, you gotta hold that man, hold that woman, love him, please him, squeeze her, please her, signify your feelings with every gentle caress because its so important to have that special somebody to hold, to kiss, to miss, to squeeze, and please "
I like your first reason very much but this second reason for being an oak even better. But you know, they just don't do that anymore.
I guess we don't have to wonder what kind of tree you would be!
You're writing your own novel? What about?
And tell me, if you had a book published and someone found two typos in the book, would you rather know or not know?
Very nice poem!
Uh, oh. Did she have an editor? She's not on FR, is she? I wouldn't want her finding out here.
That's how I got my screen name. A friend had asked me that question.
Great poem :)
She's not on here that I know about, I seriously doubt it. She spends alot of time writing I think, she already has a couple more books in the works.
An editor, sort of, we all work together for a pretty large company, there is a lady that used to be an English teacher than works in the warehouse and another lady who proofed it. It's probably easy to skip over some parts.
So you've answered that question many times! ;)
That's funny! Hey you're friends name isn't Barbara is it? I can honestly say I've never been asked that question before.
My friend isn't Barbara, but I think she watched Barbara Walters ask it and that's how she got the question.
I Googled that question (about the tree), and this came up:
http://mkw313.blogspot.com/2004/11/if-you-were-tree-what-kind-of-tree.html
I'm an apple tree, and the description fits.
How's it going over here?
According to that, I'm a Cypress Tree...
"Cypress Tree (Faithfulness) -- strong, muscular, adaptable, takes what life has to give but doesn't necessarily like it, strives to be content, optimistic, wants to be financially independent, wants love and affection, hates loneliness, passionate lover which cannot be satisfied, faithful, quick-tempered at times, can be unruly and careless, loves to gain knowledge, needs to be needed."
I'm not sure if that fits.
The story is actually a lot deeper than that, with several plot twists. It escalates into a three-sided war when a third party enters the fray. There is no banding together against a common enemy. It a true three-sided war, with these Marines protecting freedom. Do you want to know more?
I would rather know.
I don't believe in such hocus pocus. It says I'm a birch tree...WHAtever.
Hi pcottraux. Things are going okay.
Your an editor? cool.
