I'VE HAD IT WITH BUSH. TOM DELAY CAN GO TO .... TO... TO... ZOT. Sob, sob, whine.
Atlanta

Posted on 10/03/2005 1:17:09 PM PDT by Atlanta

I offer up my feeble rant here, quite possibly my FR swansong. I've had it w/ W. This supreme court selection is the last straw. He's got no balls. None of our Republican so called "leaders" has any. I'm also tired of seeing that fake little smile of Tom Delay on TV. Neither of these guys have any idea what a working class conservative guy goes through out here in the trenches. W's supreme court pick may be the next thing since sliced bread, but she's 60 years old! UNINSPIRING to the MAX. A Squandered opportunity. Cronyism at its best. A van full of mexicans almost ran my wife and I off the road 2 days ago. No tag BTW. His complete failure to secure our southern border is difficult to understand. Every night, they scurry over the border like rats in the movie "Willard" I believe it was. 70's.. I hear that he wants the hispanic vote. Hey GD, what about whitey's vote? I'm 45 yrs old. I'm wacthing the wheels come off of our country. The subliminal effort to marginalize the white male with the dumb white guy commercials on TV piss me off. All this stuff is just to much for me to hang on to. You guys, I believe are deceiving yourself if you think W is some kind of great leader. Do we not have the majority in the House and Senate? Bush called the minutemen "vigilantes". These are honorable people who are the backbone of the country. President Bush, you've lost me guy. Tom Delay's a punk to. Why can't we have a man like TR again? One more thing. The other day, I was cleaning out my top dressor drawer. I found a photo of the Beirut Memorial at Camp Lejeune NC. The memorial was small, looked like it was made of C'block & mortar. And I thought, 267 (?) Marines died and this is all they got? Politically, I'm out in the cold. Its a good place to be compared to this garbage. OH, hope I did'nt offend anyone.... What a joke. I may vote for Hillary. Why not? I feel like kicking the pot over and have this putrid soup fly on all the Republicans. That would do it...Rip me up now.

I think I want a judge who loves the constitution even more than I want a judge with a conservative label.

Of course, both would be nice, but I have been so astounded by the quality of character our President not only models but expects of others, I am incredibly peaceful regarding his choice.

.This woman has worked side by side with our President, not only in Texas when he was the governor, but in DC as the first woman White House Counsel, as I am certain you are aware of...

I LIKE that our President knows her up close and personally.

I do not think our President would throw this woman into our highest court where she could fashion liberal crap for the rest of her life IF he thought for one second she would do so. I'd bet my life on this.

She has contributed democrats, supported democrats, supported republicans, exhibited the integrity and honor one would expect from a republican in the way she has led her life, she has given much to community service, has cared for the poor, has been the first female President of the Texas Bar, has risen to the Presidency of the top law firm in Texas, has run the Texas lottery, has done hours upon hours of pro bono legal practice, has worked on CHRISTAIN ( she is an evangelical Christian ) projects, had a deep and abiding awe of our constitution and its founders, and BEST OF ALL, has had UP Close and PERSONAL experience with the separation of powers as a WH counsel.

She has our President's trust. She has NOT betrayed him. I do not believe she will become a betrayer of his trust even as she assumes a job with a lifetime guarantee.

She has a reputation as a pit bull...not a wussy. I like that in a supreme court judge, as well.

Ruthie may think she has a compatriot coming...but my guess is that John Roberts and Scalia and Thomas have an armed and ready compatriot about to enter their realm.

That is exactly why my office door gets locked in the daytime when my grandkids visit. Then at night for insurance the computer is turned off and the power cord goes away with me for the night.
