Abu Graib Photos

His Arrogance, U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein and the self-aggrandizing ACLU know that the psychotic islamofascists will be inflamed by the redundant Abu Graib photos.

I agree. Let's also release all those pictures of macerated aborted fetuses.

You don't even know that "who's" is a contraction of WHO IS, that the word you struggled to spell, is in fact spelled WHOSE, yet you expect us all to accept, on your say so, that you are far more capable and intelligent than Brown, whose name you do not even know ?

Four consecutive hurricanes, hitting more or less the same places, in a very short time span, is NOT "normal". And yes, FEMA, headed by Brown, did a good job of it in Florida. The reason that NOLA was such a mess, is because of the mayor, the governor, the NO chief of police, and the incompetence and corruption that has been LA's legacy for at least the past 100 years.

Try learning FR's slang, inside jokes, and ways, before you make yourself look any more the fool.

Just asking...do your parents know that you are still up and playing in their computer?

When do you imagine, that you will finally, at long last attain that ashes of maturity, that you're talking about?

I hate to tell you this, but you are wrong; dead wrong and you really should stop digging now. The following, is what's really "simple"; try to follow it.

There is no valid reason to release those pictures to the world.

This judgment will be appealed.

That you agree with the outcome, thus far, makes you an enemy of this country, our troops, the Americans living here and abroad, and a pariah on FR. I hope that you enjoy that status here.

I have read this thread in its entirety and should be shocked at your lack of understanding and/or compassion for the battle that faces our military men and women every day. Unfortunately, I am not shocked. You are no different than the Cindy Sheehan's and every other self-serving wacko that happens to be an American.

Our son served in Iraq, and like he says, it's people like you who just love to rub their faces in the actions of a miniscule few who did something bad. People like you don't give a rats hiney about the men and women still in harms way, those men and women who jeopardize their lives every day for the wants of people like you. If you tell me you support our troops, I will call you a LIAR. If you really cared, you wouldn't want to yet again bring out the ammo that emboldens our enemies.

Our son and every soldier I have talked to is absolutely disgusted with what happened at Abu Graib. The fact that this is and has been in the public eye for a long time now, has been the cause for much pain, dishonor and horror to every decent military man and woman, and has also been dealt with through the courts, isn't enough for people like you. You want to drag it all back to the world stage yet again. And for what??? You say it is your right to know. Well if you've been paying attention at all to the Abu Graib situation, then you already know what happened.

How many people in the U.S. and the world at large, haven't already been treated to the pictures and story of what some did at Abu Graib?? If anyone hasn't heard it, they weren't paying attention.

But now you sit in your comfy chair, putting every military wife, military family, military loved ones and friends in further danger because you just have some sort of sick yearning to have the pictures further flaunted on the world stage.

I will thank God tonight that there are still decent Americans in this world who put the lives and safety of our troops, and fellow Americans, BEFORE their selfish "needs".

I'd say more, but I am the mother of a soldier. An HONORABLE soldier who serves with HONORABLE men and women. You aren't worthy to shine their boots, IMHO.

The vast majority of our military men and women do NOT deserve to have their lives further put at risk because of the dishonorable actions of a small few.

Have you no heart at all for those of us who's sons and daughters are fighting a war to protect you and your family?!!!!!!!!!!

Abu Graib lit up the MSM and lit it up good. The story has been played over and over and over and over again. Now you want more pictures, new pictures, more video to be put out there as ammunition against our troops and every other decent human being.

Shame on you, is the NICEST thing I think of to say.

God bless our troops and God SAVE THEM FROM PEOPLE like YOU!

With you for an allie, who needs enemies.

I am the farthest thing from a "snobby elitist" that you could probably find on FR. I live a bush lifestyle, grow my own food, hunt for meat, and live in a log cabin my husband, sons and I built from the ground up. My motto is, "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without". Elitist? Yea, right. Just because I happen to care deeply about right and wrong, does not make me an elitist. What it makes me is a normal, human being, who is also deeply concerned for our men and women in uniform.

The disgrace of Abu Graib should not be USED to further harm any of them. They have already paid a heavy price for those who brought shame to us all.

Are you that far out there, that you cannot for one minute consider someone other than yourself? Did you even read the article that I linked to? This judge is wrong and God willing, his ruling will be appealed AND overturned. For the sake of our military sons and daughters, husbands and wives, and every other human being who may be harmed by this ruling, I will hit my knees and pray.

"The judge said he recognized the pictures might be useful to the public as it answers questions about the prison scandal, including whether those in command knew about the abuse and how extensive it was.

Yet, he said, there was a "high prurient value" in the pictures.

"A judge cannot look at these without thinking to himself how quickly they'd be put on the 6 o'clock or 11 o'clock news and how easily they could be subverted to create a false picture of this country," he said.

U.S. Attorney David Kelley told the judge that insurgents and propagandists in Afghanistan and Iraq would claim that a judge's order to release the pictures was a "deliberate war act" by the United States.

He said insurgents who already are increasing the deadliness of their attacks would claim that more pictures were being released to "rub the noses of the Muslim world" in what had happened."

EVEN THE JUDGE, in August, admitted that posting this pictures yet again could and probably would be BAD. So tell me, Stu, did you send in your $$$ to the ACLU, to help this judge buy his way to a decision? Or do you firmly believe that this judge believes what you do....that the lives of our fellow Americans aren't as important as the posting of more pics on the internet and MSM. Good grief, man, are you insane?

You don't even know that "who's" is a contraction of WHO IS

Typo griping is beneath you. It is also a sure sign of desperation.

Web forms don't have spellcheckers, and if you can't figure it out words from the context, that's your shortcoming.

Life is too short to spell check message board posts.

I have faith in the intellect of others to figure out it.

whose name you do not even know ?

Why do you keep saying that? It's not true and you have nothign with which to back up the claim.

Try learning FR's slang, inside jokes, and ways, before you make yourself look any more the fool.

I've actually been here since 1997. But thanks for the advice, which is once again, declined.

Just asking...do your parents know that you are still up and playing in their computer?

Ahhh, here comes the desperation. Personal attacks are on the way. Unfortunately, that particular attack has been used on nearly every thread. Try some creativity.

When do you imagine, that you will finally, at long last attain that ashes of maturity, that you're talking about?

I don't know.

I hate to tell you this, but you are wrong; dead wrong and you really should stop digging now.

So you have said. Repeatedly. It's simply your opinion. The realization that you cannot turn your opinion into a fact seems to really tick you off. But you have to come to terms with it sooner or later.

There is no valid reason to release those pictures to the world.

Yes, your opinion has been duly noted. I disagree. Many other people disagree. The court disagrees. But you are still entitled to your opinion ... even though it has been overruled.

This judgment will be appealed.

Well, maybe you're opinion will eventually prevail. Why don't we see what happens?

That you agree with the outcome, thus far, makes you an enemy of this country,

Yes, yes, everyone who disagrees with you is an enemy of the country. We also eat our young, and have and have sex with animals.

Jusitify it however you like.

and a pariah on FR. I hope that you enjoy that status here.

I don't worry about labels. I speak my opinion and let the chips fall where they may. I don't alter them to please any specific person or group (which is why I would shore up the border). If that makes me a "pariah", then I don't have a problem with it.

You are no different than the Cindy Sheehan's and every other self-serving wacko that happens to be an American.

At least that's your opinion. Some would disagree, some wouldn't. That freedom is what makes the republic great.

Our son served in Iraq, and like he says, it's people like you who just love to rub their faces in the actions of a miniscule few who did something bad.

*I* didn't rub anything in anyone's face. I had nothing to do with it. I didn't take any pictures, and I was not serving on the bench when the ruling was handed down.

People like you don't give a rats hiney about the men and women still in harms way, those men and women who jeopardize their lives every day for the wants of people like you.

Not people like me. I don't want him to be there.

If you tell me you support our troops, I will call you a LIAR. If you really cared, you wouldn't want to yet again bring out the ammo that emboldens our enemies.

Again, I don't think the opponents in Iraq are all of a sudden going to start using the "real" bullets when these pictures are released.

You want to drag it all back to the world stage yet again. And for what??? You say it is your right to know. Well if you've been paying attention at all to the Abu Graib situation, then you already know what happened.

If we all know, then what's the problem? The bigger deal you make if it, the more attention it will draw. Just shrug it off and move on. Since the opponents in Iraq already know, what makes you think this will make the more capable adversaries?

How many people in the U.S. and the world at large, haven't already been treated to the pictures and story of what some did at Abu Graib?? If anyone hasn't heard it, they weren't paying attention.

Yes, that's exactly my point. It's hard to "embolded our enemies" with common knowledge.

I will thank God tonight that there are still decent Americans in this world who put the lives and safety of our troops, and fellow Americans, BEFORE their selfish "needs".

I'm glad you find solace in that.

But now you sit in your comfy chair, putting every military wife, military family, military loved ones and friends in further danger because you just have some sort of sick yearning to have the pictures further flaunted on the world stage.

Have you been doing some combat maneuvers that you haven't been telling us about? Also, are you sitting in an unfomfortable chair? If so, why?

I'd say more, but I am the mother of a soldier.

That's what Cindy Sheehan says too. You sound more like her than I do.

An HONORABLE soldier who serves with HONORABLE men and women. You aren't worthy to shine their boots, IMHO.

Then I promise you that I will not shine their boots.

You might want to look up sarcasm in the dictionary. That whole rant you just went on was in response to a joke. I thought it was obvious. Perhaps not.

The disgrace of Abu Graib should not be USED to further harm any of them. They have already paid a heavy price for those who brought shame to us all.

I don't think it will bring further harm. I also think video of Police misconduct should be released to the public.

Are you that far out there, that you cannot for one minute consider someone other than yourself? Did you even read the article that I linked to? This judge is wrong and God willing, his ruling will be appealed AND overturned.

Well, he's a judge in the country you love. You at least have to respect it. You can take your frustration out on me since I guess that is as close as you will get to anybodylistening to you, but the fact is ... I didn't make the ruling, nor did I have anything to do with it. I also can't change it.

For the sake of our military sons and daughters, husbands and wives, and every other human being who may be harmed by this ruling, I will hit my knees and pray.

I hope things work out for you.

I respect that you have a son who is fighting in Iraq, but I don't agree that releasing the remainder of the Abu Gharib pictures will cause any further harm. What propaganda mileage that could have been gotten out of that ugly incident was used up by the knuckleheads some time ago.

The greater harm now would be in allowing the government to suppress what should be public knowledge.

The answer is no. I have never given money to the ACLU.

I have a question for you too. Is your son fighting for a corrupt goverment where judges can be "bought"?

Or do you firmly believe that this judge believes what you do....that the lives of our fellow Americans aren't as important as the posting of more pics on the internet and MSM. Good grief, man, are you insane?

He probably believes in Feedom of the Press, and all the warts that come with it. Every item on the Bill of Rights comes at a cost. Sometimes a great cost. Liberty isn't free. Sometimes it is downright expensive. And he probably realized that the military was fighting to preserve that very liberty.

Maybe that is why they ruled in that manner. Though I don't know the judge, and the above was simply a guess.

According to you, he could be bribed. So many somebody just bought him a Porche or something.

That wasn't a typo. I am FR's QUEEN OF MISSED TYPOS and have been taken to task over them a lot. I know what's a typo and what's just stupidity and that was stupidty in your case.

Surprise, surprise, dear, FR has a spell checker! Oooops, and you probably did make a typo,in that sentence ( I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on "form", instead of FORUM ), but that's besides the point.

Nope, life isn't "too short" to use the spell checker here. Use it, or most of FR will come down on your every reply; not just me.

Hmmmmmmm...are you that upset, by being corrected? You're really going to have to grow up and learn how to take it. This entire post is riddled with typos, misspellings, and is just a mess. Your temper has gotten the best of you and using the "Spell" butting would have saved you from posting "nothign", for nothing.

You didn't know the ex head of FEMA. You admitted that you didn't know his name, all on your own. I gave you his name. And you have again left "nothign" stand uncorrected. That's twice, so far.

You don't know the facts and when told them, you resort to smarmy, silly, and snide replies. That makes you look even worse than you already do with your stand on the release of the pictures verdict.

I've been here since 1997 and still have the same nic. If you've really been here since 1997, then you are a retread and have been banned at least once; is my guess. And IF you have been here that long, why don't you know about and use the spell check, don't know FR slang, and don't know me?

So, to recap, you claim that you have been here since 1997, but have a very new sign-up, you don't know that FR has spell check, but think that it's silly to use one, have admitted that you don't know the name of the ex FEMA head, but know claim that that isn't so and that I have no proof to back that claim up ( I'll post the # of your post in a bit ), and gave made many personal attacks on me, but are throwing an 11 year old girl's type of hissy fit, because I gave it back to you.

You poor thing...................LOL

Your sign-up date in 2002. That's five years after your claim of being here since '97. You are either a liar, a lurker who didn't join until '02, or a retread.

You obviously gave paid very little attention to FR in all of that time. If you had, you would have read the many threads which have detailed how many different news articles and pictures are used to inflame the rabid nutters to attack our troops, none military innocents, and even reporters ( you never heard of Pearl or any of the other hostages who were beheaded, I suppose ) have been killed and/or tortured.

The laws of physics come into play here, for every action there is a reaction; actions have consequences. But you deny that to be true. Neither have you answered my questions about why they pictures should be released, nor the one about why we have ALWAYS had censorship of wartime articles and pictures.

Are you old enough to have seen that very famous picture taken during the Nam War, of a man being shot in the street? At that time, there was no factual reporting about who he was, nor why he was shot. The picture was used as pure propaganda, against our being there, by the American MSM. It worked; but it was a disingenuous and disgusting piece of flimflam.

The man was a notorious VietCong leader, who had been responsible for many murders and worse. The facts of the matter were never told at that time and only came out many decades after the harm had been done.

More recently, as I have stated earlier on this thread, Newsweek printed a spurious and fallacious story about a Koran being flushed down a toilet in Gitmo. The news raced around the world and low and behold, there WAS an Islamonazi attack, which wouldn't have taken place, had that garbage not been printed. Cause...effect.

And that is but one example, which you think didn't happen.

Before you tell me that it would have happened anyway, or wasn't the cause, you should be apprised of the fact that the perpetrators said that that was why they did it. Were they lying? And if you say that is so, how do you know that for a certitude?

Yes, you've taken a stand, a stand that places you in the same camp as the ACLU and an Islamonazi prof. You are know by the company you keep and that company smells to high heaven.

The public knows about it and have seen other pictures.

Are you familiar with the phrase "waving the bloody shirt" ? If not, look it up.

Less than NO purpose, whatsoever, is served, by publishing these pictures.

But publishing them can and will serve to 1) have the MSM trash the president again, over this action 2)incite the terrorist 3) allow Al Jazeera to use them as fodder to blast America, our troops, and the entire non-Muslim world.

Zero may be a number, but it is also the grade you get for logic and your ability to understand this situation.
