I am the farthest thing from a "snobby elitist" that you could probably find on FR. I live a bush lifestyle, grow my own food, hunt for meat, and live in a log cabin my husband, sons and I built from the ground up. My motto is, "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without". Elitist? Yea, right. Just because I happen to care deeply about right and wrong, does not make me an elitist. What it makes me is a normal, human being, who is also deeply concerned for our men and women in uniform.

The disgrace of Abu Graib should not be USED to further harm any of them. They have already paid a heavy price for those who brought shame to us all.

Are you that far out there, that you cannot for one minute consider someone other than yourself? Did you even read the article that I linked to? This judge is wrong and God willing, his ruling will be appealed AND overturned. For the sake of our military sons and daughters, husbands and wives, and every other human being who may be harmed by this ruling, I will hit my knees and pray.

You might want to look up sarcasm in the dictionary. That whole rant you just went on was in response to a joke. I thought it was obvious. Perhaps not.

I don't think it will bring further harm. I also think video of Police misconduct should be released to the public.

Well, he's a judge in the country you love. You at least have to respect it. You can take your frustration out on me since I guess that is as close as you will get to anybodylistening to you, but the fact is ... I didn't make the ruling, nor did I have anything to do with it. I also can't change it.

For the sake of our military sons and daughters, husbands and wives, and every other human being who may be harmed by this ruling, I will hit my knees and pray.

I hope things work out for you.

I respect that you have a son who is fighting in Iraq, but I don't agree that releasing the remainder of the Abu Gharib pictures will cause any further harm. What propaganda mileage that could have been gotten out of that ugly incident was used up by the knuckleheads some time ago.

The greater harm now would be in allowing the government to suppress what should be public knowledge.
