I have read this thread in its entirety and should be shocked at your lack of understanding and/or compassion for the battle that faces our military men and women every day. Unfortunately, I am not shocked. You are no different than the Cindy Sheehan's and every other self-serving wacko that happens to be an American.

Our son served in Iraq, and like he says, it's people like you who just love to rub their faces in the actions of a miniscule few who did something bad. People like you don't give a rats hiney about the men and women still in harms way, those men and women who jeopardize their lives every day for the wants of people like you. If you tell me you support our troops, I will call you a LIAR. If you really cared, you wouldn't want to yet again bring out the ammo that emboldens our enemies.

Our son and every soldier I have talked to is absolutely disgusted with what happened at Abu Graib. The fact that this is and has been in the public eye for a long time now, has been the cause for much pain, dishonor and horror to every decent military man and woman, and has also been dealt with through the courts, isn't enough for people like you. You want to drag it all back to the world stage yet again. And for what??? You say it is your right to know. Well if you've been paying attention at all to the Abu Graib situation, then you already know what happened.

How many people in the U.S. and the world at large, haven't already been treated to the pictures and story of what some did at Abu Graib?? If anyone hasn't heard it, they weren't paying attention.

But now you sit in your comfy chair, putting every military wife, military family, military loved ones and friends in further danger because you just have some sort of sick yearning to have the pictures further flaunted on the world stage.

I will thank God tonight that there are still decent Americans in this world who put the lives and safety of our troops, and fellow Americans, BEFORE their selfish "needs".

I'd say more, but I am the mother of a soldier. An HONORABLE soldier who serves with HONORABLE men and women. You aren't worthy to shine their boots, IMHO.

At least that's your opinion. Some would disagree, some wouldn't. That freedom is what makes the republic great.

Our son served in Iraq, and like he says, it's people like you who just love to rub their faces in the actions of a miniscule few who did something bad.

*I* didn't rub anything in anyone's face. I had nothing to do with it. I didn't take any pictures, and I was not serving on the bench when the ruling was handed down.

People like you don't give a rats hiney about the men and women still in harms way, those men and women who jeopardize their lives every day for the wants of people like you.

Not people like me. I don't want him to be there.

If you tell me you support our troops, I will call you a LIAR. If you really cared, you wouldn't want to yet again bring out the ammo that emboldens our enemies.

Again, I don't think the opponents in Iraq are all of a sudden going to start using the "real" bullets when these pictures are released.

You want to drag it all back to the world stage yet again. And for what??? You say it is your right to know. Well if you've been paying attention at all to the Abu Graib situation, then you already know what happened.

If we all know, then what's the problem? The bigger deal you make if it, the more attention it will draw. Just shrug it off and move on. Since the opponents in Iraq already know, what makes you think this will make the more capable adversaries?

How many people in the U.S. and the world at large, haven't already been treated to the pictures and story of what some did at Abu Graib?? If anyone hasn't heard it, they weren't paying attention.

Yes, that's exactly my point. It's hard to "embolded our enemies" with common knowledge.

I will thank God tonight that there are still decent Americans in this world who put the lives and safety of our troops, and fellow Americans, BEFORE their selfish "needs".

I'm glad you find solace in that.

But now you sit in your comfy chair, putting every military wife, military family, military loved ones and friends in further danger because you just have some sort of sick yearning to have the pictures further flaunted on the world stage.

Have you been doing some combat maneuvers that you haven't been telling us about? Also, are you sitting in an unfomfortable chair? If so, why?

I'd say more, but I am the mother of a soldier.

That's what Cindy Sheehan says too. You sound more like her than I do.

An HONORABLE soldier who serves with HONORABLE men and women. You aren't worthy to shine their boots, IMHO.

Then I promise you that I will not shine their boots.
