Rick Folbaum Better than Shep Smith at Fox's Studio B? [Fox News Inside Baseball Vanity]
Fox News | governsleast governsbest

Watching Fox News to catch up on the latest Delay news, I see that Rick Folbaum is filling in for Shep Smith.

My two cents says Folbaum is better than Shep. Smith is too 'hot,' not in the Paris Hilton meaning, but in the sense that the show often seems more about him than about the news. He's a distraction.

Folbaum seems more of a straightforward TV news journalist. He wears better.

Your thoughts?

By the way, Folbaum refereed a debate on the Delay matter between Democrat Cong. Pasquale of New Jersey and Republican McHenry of North Carolina. I have to admit I thought Pasquale got the better of the exchange. He came across as more spontaneous and real. McHenry, as Pasquale pointed out, seemed to be reading from a list of talking points.

Here's a link to Folbaum's bio:

Ok...I am sorry but I like Shep. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and everyone looks better to me!! LOL
He is a little dramatic at times.

What - a guy can't be objective about his favorite cousin? ;-)

Not to generalize, but it seems that a lot of Shep's support is coming from those of the distaff persuasion!

I like both Rick and Shep, but Shep gets my vote. He's hot all right. He provides variety. Brit is great, but Shep is mighty fine.

About Geraldo, at least he's not a carbon copy of anyone and we probably someday will see him on camera shot or swallowed by an earthquake or decapitated by hurricane detritus or washed overboard on the high seas. He doesn't intentionally lie. That's more than you can expect from the run-of-the-mill field reporters, cowering in their hotel rooms. So, I like Geraldo too.

I was about to record your vote in the Shep column, but holding your ballot up to the light, it seems that you might have attempted to vote for both Shep and Rick, which nullifies your ballot!

Just kidding - I'll put you down for Shep!

Add me to the Folbaum list.

Shep is trying to out Drama the Drama Queen whorealdo. Both of them belong on a show like current affair or the like. They are disgraceful.

Something about Shep reminds me of Elton John.

Shep reminds me of PeeWee Herman.

Folbaum replaces Shep.
Gibson replaces O'Reilly.

Your inference is that Shep is gay. Just because a guy is good looking .. it doesn't mean he's gay. I don't see anything about Shep to point in that direction at all.

I don't knew...that fall that he took on air was about as feminine as you could get. My grandmother could fall more masculinely than he did.

Folbaum good.

Shep boring, trite, tedious and overbearing.

Can't stand his voice or delivery. He's a game-show host, and would be better suited doing voice-overs for local car dealer commercials.

I hit mute or turn channels when he's onscreen.

He has a good speaking voice with a slight Southern drawl and he looks like he enjoys his work. ;)

I don't know, but when I look at Shep, I feel like I'm looking at a corpse. Must be the make-up?
