Police Assaulted With Fried Chicken, Coca-Cola
Driver Accused Of Driving Wrong Way On One-Way
POSTED: 9:12 am EDT September 27, 2005
SMYRNA, Ga. -- A suburban Atlanta police officer pelted with fried chicken, soda pop and human fists is healing from injuries suffered during a traffic stop.
A warrant said a 61-year-old Florida woman traveling the wrong way on a one-way street objected to being stopped Friday by the officer. The warrant said she threw a plate of chicken wings at the officer, hit him in the neck with a two-liter Coke bottle, then punched him in the face several times. She is also accused of attempting to turn the crowd against the officer.
Beverly Anne Campbell was arrested on various charges, including felony assault and misdemeanor counts of inciting a riot.
Police said the incident happened during a function at the Smyrna Community Center. Two other partygoers also were arrested and charged on several counts, including refusal to take a drunken driving test.
A New Orleans transplant for sure.
In a related story, a police officer was cornered and held hostage by a man weilding a dozen donuts. Witnesses reported the officer's eyes looked glazed as he attempted to escape, spilling the contents of the box. While both were reportedly unharmed in the ensuing scuffle, the dirty dozen was said to have taken it heavily on the chin.
they had to outdo Wendy's human fingers.
"felony" assualt with a chicken? Can you imagine how this poor officers life is like when he shows up at his precinct?
Ha!
Actually I was going to post on the guy killed with a fork. So between death by fork and felony assualt by chicken its been a great day. BTW, what is the determination between misdemeanor and felony chicken throwing?
ping. Just damn worthy?
Jake: Bring me four fried chickens and a Coke.
Mrs. Murphy: You want chicken wings or chicken legs?
Jake: Four fried chickens and a Coke.
Never let a cop see you waste a donut.
Was she in a fowl mood?
Did he try to grab her breast or thigh?
Was it a coke and a smile?
Did he have egg on his face?
Why did the cop cross the road? To get away from the chicken?
Fine her a poultry sum for this capon caper.
DA should determine if there is a Colonel of truth to her 3 extra sides of the story.
It's the system, don't bucket or prepare to get fried, extra crispy.
Was it four fried chickens? And a coke? Where's the dry white toast?
Too bad he didn't have a taser to warm up her chicken wings for her first.
What? No mashed potatoes.
Florida people.
Reminds me of a quote by James Petigru, 1860, about South Carolina (replace with Florida):
"South Carolina is too small for a republic and too large for an insane asylum."
Four whole fried chickens and a coke.
Here's one killed by a comb. Gotta love the headline from www.wspa.com.
