Oh wonderful!! Thank You. Now if we could see it dripping wet with moonlight shining through. ;)
LOL
The bamboo forest is perfect for our haiku poems.
When I was in TN two years ago I saw a bamboo forest there. It seems there are many little groves of bamboo down south.
I plan on building a small bamboo garden when I return home. They are tranquil.
Wonderful!! Yes, the oriental gardens are both beautiful and serene. The beauty is in the simplicity of design.
Away up in the hinderlands where I live, I doubt bamboo could live. We have something that is hollow and can be a pest to get rid of. It never gets very tall but does spread out into little patches or groves. It flowers too. I always got rid of the stuff. Often it would grow along the road side.
I guess it is a form of bamboo.
seems to me ...
that this is a perfect
country western lyric
Ole Waylon Jennings
would have liked,
Johnny Cash
would have liked it,
Maybe ole Willie Nelson
will like it ... or
knows one who might
of course ...
there are many
more younger guys
looking for songs ...
only this calls for a fellow
that has been around awhile ...
and passed over
a lot of road
as he went bye ...
longing ...
on his lonely seat
for the apple of his eye ...
looking out ahead
at the big, big sky
Where is the answer
to our lonely heart
Who knows our every
need and comes to abide
with us inside and meet
us in our thoughts ...
with love pure and true
Who was willing to die
for me and you ...
Think of Him
on that lonely ride ...
you will never be
forsaken or alone ...
Hello Countyline!! WOW, so good to see you and read your poetry again.
Wonderful poem. Thank You.
You are 'quick' this morning.
Happy to see you are doing well.
Pastor Chuck might just be a writer of song lyrics ... do you agree?
The Lord may be finding a new way to bless him.
I have been lurking, but not writing much. Been watching the Gulf Coast Tragedy. It is heartbreaking to see actions, inaction, responses, media, and all else. The only one who has acquitted itself well has been the military. Many of the decision makers were simply overwelmed by the magnitude of destruction. Many were simply out of their element.
The lession for me is that I should never rely on others for the basics, and prepare for the worst.
I will not go on in these matters as this thread is not for that. This is a thread of serenety, not savagery. It is much a thread of peaceful serendipidy, not natures ravages. Still, these issues needs the poet to ring the warning bell, seeing thru the confusion and consternation with which man and nature parry. In that match, in the end, man must succumb. It is right that he recognize that while there is still daylight to see. There must come a time when few will see and cursing the darkness is all I see in todays media commentators. The poet should light the candle, but only with reflections of truth, not wishfulness, but as it is. If someone does not do this all will be lost. In these days, I can think of none better than the poet to start a tiny flame, that if kindled, would bring freedom and liberty to a bonfire of truth. I don't hear the megaphone. I don't see the love of liberty among most of our citizens. It is true that on FR, the Lair, the Canteen, there have aggregated those few who wish to light the lamp of freedom to be a light to guide us forward.
I would be remiss if I didn't end on the necessity to call on Almight God to once again admonish us to seek His face and turn from our wicked ways and procure His blessing.
I shouldn't post this on your site. It is not meant to depress but to hope that we all come to the Truth.
Good morning to you.
Thank you for that.
I could not possibly agree more with every word you say, Texas Songwriter. Every word and every sentiment, AMEN!!
Let the church say, "AMEN!"
Nature had the power in the Gulf 10-12 days ago, and with a force that had never been seen. A force of nature CAN wipe us out, can stymie our best efforts, can stop us in our tracks. And nature IS to be feared. And respected.
The fact that people cannot stand in awe of God's power shows how far we have drifted from His ways. I pray also that more will come to know Him, fear Him and respect Him.
Hello, La Enchiladita, happy day to you.
