Not another can! Not one! (Pringles)

Posted on 08/09/2005 4:35:54 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55

I was completely shocked this afternoon while eating my lunch. I took a few chips out of the pringles can...and then did a double take! No it couldn't be?

Pringles has begun adding alternative spanish ingredients and weight on the front of the can. You can take a look at it yourself.

Pringles Can

If you go to
pringles.com you will first see a map of the world. Intending to portray an international feeling.

I believe this is the doing of Procter and Gamble. The ultra liberal company. Procter and Gamble also make Pampers, Tide, Arial, Always, Whisper, Pantene, Bounty, Pringles, Folgers, Millstone, Charmin, Downy, Lenor, Iams, Crest, Actonel, Head and Shoulders, Olay, Clarol Nice N Easy, and more.

If you would like to make your feelings clear about the new labels..please write to...

I started digging deeper to see if I could find more about Procter and Gamble.

Here is a phone number to go with the address above.

513-983-1100

Main Page of Procter and Gamble.

The Family Research Council at one time supported a boycott of Procter and Gamble because of their support for Homosexual groups and activism.

Here is a letter I found.
Procter and Gamble Cleans Up Its Act.

Pro-family groups have called off a boycott of goods produced by Procter & Gamble. Nearly 400,000 citizens had pledged to boycott P&G because of their support for homosexual activism. Those monitoring the company's practices have concluded that it has now ended its sponsorship of offensive TV programs and homosexual websites. An executive who promoted the homosexual agenda within the company, and who was given a leave of absence to work for pro-homosexual special rights legislation in Cincinnati, is no longer working for P&G. This victory shows the power that pro-family citizens have when they vote with their dollars against supporting corporate homosexual activism. Thank you, P&G, for listening to your customers' concerns.

They listened once..perhaps they will listen again.

Below information is optional. Perhaps somebody will find some liberal connections in it. Procter & Gamble

Suit yourself, this is really a silly thing though.
Product labeling has a cost, if they have to carry two or three seperate labels for regions of the country or Canada etc. then the product cost will be higher. I agree that we should be an ENGLISH speaking country...but come on...

It's Nothing to bother with, seriesly...

Politicians in New York were distributing propaganda in Italian and Yiddish back in the 1910s and 1920s. There were whole streets with signs in German, Italian and Yiddish as well. What happened? The SECOND GENERATION just naturally preferred English.

I have also lived in a Colombian neighborhood in Miami and worked in a Mexican neighborhood in Chicago. In both cases, the parents spoke Spanish, while their children preferred English.

I find you "English is disappearing" folks to be good for a barrell of laughs.

I'm still appalled that the Moen kitchen faucet we recently installed had no words of instruction in any language - just pictures!!!

That's ridiculous! Moen is well know for having an agenda that's in favor of naturalizing illegal Anasazi immigrants. The Anasazi, as you know, only speak and read cave paintings.

Having braille letters raised into an automated drive-up window beats this problem hands down!

But until they start paying off in invisible money, I'll have no problem with it.

Don't lump me in this.. I'm personally frustrated that our schools don't teach foreign languages any more.

Can you make the connection or not?

Not. That is, I refuse to believe that a Spanish ingredients list on a can of Pringles leads to forcing Americans to take their drivers' tests in French. The idea is silly.

Now, if you want to complain about ballots and official government documents being printed in a variety of languages, I am willing to listen. (I might even agree with you.)

My word. How evil. That a major international corporation might actually print something other than English on their products is just... just...

smart marketing.

Now, if they put ONLY Spanish on their products, that's another thing.

But did you hear that there's actually an evil satanic cult that runs Proctor & Gamble? For proof all you need to do is look at their logo.

I mean, 13 stars? You do the math. And you can clearly see 666 in his beard!

Oh, and did you know that Starburst candy stays soft because they include spider webs in the mix? Unfortunately they often include spider eggs, too. So if you start to get an itchy feeling in your stomach after eating a Starburts candy...

< By the way, I speak Spanish. Knowing Spanish has not in any way impaired my use of English. If anything, it has helped me. Perhaps you should give it a try. >

It DOES allow or encourage those who don't speak English to not learn, but I'm with the others. This isn't a good battle.
