In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today.

Where are all your students at today, Miss Slippy??

Gay bath houses & AIDS . . . gay carnival . . . from carnal house to charnel house.
Hey, I'm back from Mexico and it will probably take me two weeks to get caught up around here. I hope everyone is doing well.
xs, I hope your birthday was fun.

I used to live at Aspen Square. They are condos, but are rented out a lot. It's right below Ajax Mountain where I first learned to ski.
Hope you're taking a lot of photos.
I'm sure Aspen has changed since I was there in 1971. But the shopping was great even then.
Say "hi" to the ghost of Kobi for me. Maybe you can see girl at the concierge desk. I can't remember her name.
A++++ for you.
I'm so glad you're back, Vastie. How was your trip? Did you help a lot of people?
You're a great person, Laura, for taking on all of that in the middle of your heat wave.
At least the walk is at 8 am before it gets too hot.
How long is the walk? I did a four mile one about six years ago for cancer. And I didn't smoke a single cigarette the whole time. I think I would have been embarrassed. We were raising money for a friend's child who had cancer.
Palmeiro's legacy is in the House of Charnal
He should have used whiz from the next guy's urinal
Read all about it in the Wall Street Journal
500 homers and 3000 hits says
You've joined Hank Aaron, Eddie Murray, Willie Mays
But you should have stopped using, Raffy, mended your ways
Steroids, like some magicians' magic wands
Can make Giants out of mortals (check out Barry Bonds)
But heroes can be zeroes, more like vagabonds
The Hall of Fame was waiting, like for Old Pete Rose
4000 hits won't do it if you have your foes
For gamblers and cheaters, that's the way it goes
Yep. You said it well, Truthie!
A++++ for you!
