I wish it were!

We took a spur of the moment, overnight trip to Niagara Falls, Saturday night to Sunday evening. I can't figure out how much housework managed to pile up in a 20 hour absence. I'm still too stiff from the car ride to really want to tackle it. Scourgify!!!

Housework? What's housework?

Oh, what I wouldn't give for one of Ollivander's wands! ;-)

Ooops. I guess I shouldn't have said that. Now I'm going to Hell!

I'm a Virgo (I guess that means I'm going to Hell too). That supposedly means I'm neat. But I'm not. I'd rather read or do my needlepoint than clean. The only household chore I really don't mind doing is laundry. Why? Because I can stitch or read while I'm doing it.

Hey, I may be a death-eater, but I'm still curious about Harry Potter's particulars. Thus add me to your ping list please and I'll promise not to hex you. Thanks.

Having just read the NEW and UPDATED postings
on dumbledoreisnotdead.com , I am now pretty
sure that DD will be "reborn" phoenix style.
What else could explain the beautiful but
mysterious flaring up of the white "coffin"
at the funeral service? That service was
attended by those who lived near and far in
the Wizard World. Of course, Harry and the
kids would not know, but the elder wizards
and witches might well have been aware of
DD's special ability to "return."

If any of this is what JKR has in mind, is
it possible DD will "come back" more youthful?
We've seen DD leave the school before, under
duress thanks to Lucius Malfoy. But is there
even deeper meaning to the caption:

"I will have only truly left Hogwarts when
none here are loyal to me." ??

Something which is bothering me...in OOTP, the gang is sitting in the great hall talking to Sir Nick. Ron has his mouth full of food. At one point he says, "...node iddum eentup sechew." I cannot figure out what he is trying to say. I have even said it myself, with a mouth full of brownie. No luck. What do you suppose it means? Anything? Probably not important, it's just bugging me.

Gave me a new tagline, though!

I think it's "no, I didn't mean to upset you."

Exactly why I am certain that DD is really dead, as dead as Python's parrot. He's not pretending, he's not just dead for the time being. He's dead, and as JKR has said "Dead is dead, even in the wizarding world."

In the first book Snape talks about a potion called the living death-do you think he could've whipped up a batch for Dumbledore?

JKR sure knows how to keep us busy while we await the final book-please not two years, please not two years, please not two years.

It's already been determined that I'm going to Hell. After all, I read Harry Potter and I keep up with my horoscope.

But here's the latest proof -- I am an Islanders fan, and we just signed a new player...

His first name is Miroslav.

His last name is Satan.

Yes, now I officially AM a Satan-worshipper!

If my priest is a Rangers fan, I'm cooked.

I didn't know the Islanders signed Satan! (His name is pronounced suh-tan--but you're still gonna nurn, baby!) I didn't miss hockey a whole lot because the Pistons were playing really well. Now I'm itching for the season to start.

GO WINGS!

Where was it mentioned in the HP books that DD's brother was a bartender? Someone cited that on this thread. I've been reading very carefully through OOTP (still don't have books 1-4 back). When the DA first meets at the Hog's Head, the bartender looks vaguely familiar to HP.

I giggled when I read your post, but then I realized that you are at least semi-serious in that there are "some" people (even here!) who have adopted a standard of faith that allows absolutely no deviation from what THEY believe is "acceptable" reading. Either you believe the way they do, or you're damned. Sad. Oh well, hang in there and read what you want: we like you!

And I don't read my horoscope because Capricorns are too dull, unimaginative, and practical to do that (LOL!).

I was just looking through shoes at the Naturalizer website--among other things, they had two styles, named Pippin and Samwise. Easily the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. Kinda funny, though...why name shoes after Hobbits? LOL
