Do kids even take lunchboxes to school any more?

Yeah - I remember the ear discussion, and I don't even remember what side I was on!

I don't think very many take that kind any more. We're trying to figure out the best option for Luke.

Viggo's voice doesn't bother me in his role, except I do notice that his voice gets really nasal for that "He cannot wield it. No one can" line. I wonder if it's something in the recording for that take that was never corrected... like they used the actual track instead of a studio ADR for some reason.
But outside of his Aragorn role, he mumbles. I just think it's interesting that he ~can~ speak clearly and annunciate as actor, and chooses not to when he's Viggo.
It's sortof like Billy Boyd. BIlly knows how all the vowels sound, Pippin uses more than one vowel, but Billy has only Es. ;~D

I thought it was the elves that had trouble with vowel movements...

The elves have nice vowels, even if they sometimes come out very slowly.

I'm gonna leave before the discussion "moves" on to dwarves' vowels.

I think you were on the side of "it's not worth getting that worked up over it". ;-)
It did take me awhile to adjust to characters I'd pictured in my mind years before being shown differently - even if they were well portrayed. Kinda like how you can get really used to one artists interpretation of a song, and then hear a new one. Even though it may actually be *better* than the one you're used to...it takes a bit to get past that initial "but that isn't how it is!" reaction.

Speaking of dwarvish and other kinda twisted interpretations of things...I guess this doesn't quite fit, but...
You know those bumper stickers that say something like "If you can read this, you're too close"? Well, I was just walking outside and passed a parked car that had a bumper sticker that said "Not so close!" and then in smaller print under that "I'm not that kind of car!"
Maybe it's wrong, but it cracked me up.

There's one that lives over here by the department. It's read and says "If this is blue, you're going too fast". Cracks me up...

My favorite was on a side window that said "If I wanted to listen to the cr@p coming from your radio, I would be sitting in your car". Guess I'm showing my age...

Isn't it kind of them to share their music with the world at large?
NOT!

I guess they play it so loud for the benefit of us old farts who are losing our hearing. Their sub-woofers could double as pacemakers to keep our hearts pumping, too.
So thoughtful of them. ;o)

I only want to experience noise levels like that when I pay to see Third Day. Other than that, keep it down, you young pups!

LOL!! Actually, I need a dose of cholestrol medicine to steady my nerves after hearing some of that "music"!!
