The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!

Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Let them go! Let them go!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

But some of us will be starting a mob to demand prequels.

I'm not as much interested in prequel, as in what happens to Harry and his friends as adults!

RIP Scotty

Just Damn, though with Alzheimer's, I'm hoping he didn't have to linger with it for too long.

Now for another go at it!

I'm going to listed to OOTP again before my second reading of HBP.

I don't know that Harry's going to have much life as an adult... you know... he might die next time.

If Lord Hildamort wins, they won't get to be adults...

Whoa, that was a super funkle!

Nah, I don't think she'll kill Harry off. Too any fans would stalk her if she did. ;o)

Not unless she wins. Then it's obvious.

My attic yogurt is ready already!! Woohooo!

Also, I found out the heating pad heats up to 110 degrees on low...that's a good temp to incubate yogurt at and I can do a whole quart at a time when the attic isn't warm enough.

Good evening. Today was singularly miserable. My mtg was tedious, but I was able to make some meaningful contributions. Got back to the office and it was 92. With humidity. Ugh ugh ugh. We couldn't run our computers, so we sat around in shorts in front of fans. Great way to spend taxpayers' money. It is far, far cheaper in the long run to replace the AC than it is to pay a bunch of scientists and engineers to do nothing.

Back from Walmart. It's hot out there! Got baby sister some food so she won't starve while I'm out. Now we have to find some way to get her online.

So you can continue to make yogurt all year round!
