The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Let them go! Let them go!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Nope, did not even notice it was coming up until I had it.
Did you see the cool fountain there?
To: TalonDJ
Yes, that's right!! I had read that.
I think it's so cool. I am honestly 50-60 years after my time.

(The light at the end of the tunnel is most certainly not a train.)
To: TalonDJ
Yeah, that was really cool. It looked very cool and inviting but we didn't have our bathing suits.

Heh.... She was a good sport but it definately wasn't her idea to ride :~D
I wish the group moot with Ramius and Penny and Scott hadn't fallen through, but we did the best we could under the circumstances!
To: HairOfTheDog
There's always next time, chica.
Groups moots are hard to coordinate, even under the best circumstances.
And poor OT, I wonder if she's feeling as sore as I'm feeling. It's been 3 days since I went riding and I'm still limping!

She doesn't want any you'd offer her, it'd be full of flies.

I'd be laughing if'n it didn't hurt so bad.
I think I may have pulled something wrong. It's pretty painful.
That said, I'm still going to go riding on the 30th. :-D

It's prolly just that you're not used to it. I know my bike soreness is just evil!

Exactly.
The only way to get over it is to become acclimated to it.
Otherwise, if I wait months between rides, it'll hurt this bad every time.
