German soldiers will be allowed to sport mullets and ponytails after a court ruled army hair regulations were unconstitutional.
The ruling came after an 18-year-old soldier was locked up in a cell and fined £100 when he refused to chop off his 10-inch ponytail.
The teenaged recruit only agreed to let army barbers cut his hair when faced with three weeks in solitary confinement, but made a formal complaint at the same time.
The military court in Munich ruled in favour of the soldier and argued the varying rules for male and female recruits were "unconstitutional" and "incomprehensible".
It said forcing male soldiers to cut their long hair went against their rights as individuals.

varying rules for male and female recruits were "unconstitutional" and "incomprehensible" I guess this also means communal showers, toilets, barracks, etc.
Another question is, why should women soldiers be allowed to sport long hair?

Now if Germany invades Europe, they'll win because their enemies would keel over from laughter.

There was nothing wrong with the Wehrmacht and the General Staff - just something wrong with gub'mint givin' em marching orders!

Oh - and varying rules doesn't mean communal. But you clearly have issues with women in the military - or maybe women in general.
Is that the "cowboyway"?

There was nothing wrong with the Wehrmacht and the General Staff - just something wrong with gub'mint givin' em marching orders! Don't buy into that myth. The Wehrmacht had plenty of complicity in atrocities, especially on the Eastern front.

Really? Read the Commas Order and the Commando order issued over Field Marshal Keitel's signature [concededly ignored by some some German commanders, such as Rommel]. Or try the Orders of the day issued in Russia by Reichenau or Manstein. Read the minutes of the conference where Hitler told his senior commanders that the war in the East would be fought with the gloves off, and with no regard to the rules and usages of war. Note any commander raising objections? How about the working relationship the various Army Commanders had with the Einsatzgruppen?
The German Army got away with one after the war. They blamed all the mistakes on Hitler, and all the atrocities on the SS. Not quite the truth.

Are female soldiers allowed to "sport" long hair!? Obviously. Didn't you read the post?
The military court in Munich ruled in favour of the soldier and argued the varying rules for male and female recruits were "unconstitutional" and "incomprehensible".
Oh - and varying rules doesn't mean communal.
It certainly does. I'll bet there is more privacy in the womens quarters. That falls under 'varying' rules.
But you clearly have issues with women in the military - or maybe women in general.
Here we go, the personal attack. A former(current) liberal, I presume.
