If Drudge is right that the Pentagon is planning to dump more abuse photos from Abu Ghraib, there is no use --we should just surrender.
If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert. We can't win a war this way. Our media and governmanetal elites simply won't let us win this war.
Bush is too weak and the Republicans in Congress are intimidated by the big Beltway Media. The grunt and the Average patriotic American doesn't have anybody fighting for them.
There is no mass movement to defend the honor of the American military and there is no internal movement within the Pentagon or this Administration to say "Enough, we ain't giving the Rats in the media anymore sh*t to weaken us and boost the our enemies. We got a post-modern, post-nam Military brass-- not a pair of balls on any of them. There simply is no push back. The Schumers, the Durbins, the Moores and the MSM are more committed than the Right is.
I understand why recruitment is down-- the damn Generals don't defend the grunts. They keep giving more and more ammo to the Islamisofascists and the Enemies within. Tell me where I'm wrong.
What the hell is the point of this question?
I think my points are the most salient. I think everybody, give or take a couple, are practicing groupthink.
I guarantee you that the actual warfighters don't think the Pentagon should cave to the ACLU and Alvin Hellerstein. Maybe you do, because you didn't go house to house. You don't understand how those pictures will be talked about in the Cafes of Iraq with their tobacco pipes and how it will make their pacification operations more difficult. And how much contact did you have witht he unpredictable, hot-blooded Iraqis?
Yeah, I know it's funny, because it hits you where you live.
That was a good one...
Keep her fuming - she's funnier when she's angry.
;-)
hehehe yeah it is...
I won't call her a she. I can't imagine a woman would come up with something to stupid. Sure my experience with women may be a bit limited, but my wife have a family virtually filled with women and not one of them is THIS STUPID.
This has to be a guy playing dumb.
The point is his vantage point from behind the gates at the base is roughly equivalent to a Filipino Cafeteria Worker at said base. He wasn't going house to house in Ramadi, he wasn't wearing desert camo amongst the Iraqi civilian population and he doesn't have a monopoly on what's actually going on in Iraq. Furthermore, the perception of what's going on held by a majority of americans is that its going down the tubes-- to say it isn't trending that way is to engage in rank denial.
there is no point...
this person is just trying to get people upset.
I really wish they would zot it.
But let's remember that allegra ISN'T actually over there, I wasn't over there for a year and nofaith here lives there!!!!

They are more pathetic than your lunatic stupidity in this thread.
You're a puffer. You were there, I'm glad that you were. Just like I am glad that the Filipino and Bangladeshi cafeteria workers are there giving our heroes over there warm meals. But that doesn't mean that the Filipino meatball chefs have a bead on the strategic, political and tactical challenges and opportunities we have in Iraq.
Mike, you are the chick I think. You are really bitchy when you get pissed.

So you're position is that since you were there you have a superior understanding of the facts on the ground. Likewise, since I am here in America, while you're making Sloppy Joes in the Phillipines, I have a superior sense of the facts on the ground and the national mood. And, sadly, they aren't trending our way, Sport.
Good call, Mike!
