I live in Fairfax California. I have been for most of my life. I am fed up with the economy, the blackouts the crime and all the liberals. I am thinking of moving and I was wondering if any of you know a good place for an average joe like myself to live in. In a couple weeks I'll have enough money and I can take the greyhound out of here and move out of this dump. Im looking for a place where I can get jobs, not have nasty taxes, some good public transportation in a city and to other cities as well as low crime and good Bible believing churhes. Could any of you help me find a good one?
That Hundai plant is bringing 20,000 total jobs with it, between the plant itself and every service and support job that those direct jobs will create... Hyundai is going to cause Montgomery to boom.
Believe it or not, Williamson county, where Round Rock is located, has a reputation of being very conservative. They went heavy for W, which doesn't mean much I know, but they just voted down a big bond package to build some expensive schools. You are correct about Austin being the San Francisco of the south but us poor conservatives are out numbered by the loony's from U of T. A bunch of musician wanabees also live here. We are making progress though. We now have a conservative on the Travis county commisioners court.
Yeah, I agree Texas is good, and they have a good warm water coastline. But on the whole you will not find the weather as good as it is in Fairfax. There is plenty of work, lots of country western dancing, and low state taxes. Outside the big citys housing is reasonable.
Ah yes, the Undead Thread.
It was a good thread until we blew it up.
Of course, we could always abscond with THIS thread since jj_fate came back to post THIS one.
*bad idea generated*
King!
I have a thread for you!
jj_fate came back to post this thread.
Check it out.
Raving spotted the troll mentioning 'phantirath', googled it, and found our original home.
And, jj did mention phantirath in this thread.
*grin*
I personally always liked Austin. If just because Austin is a hell of alot cleaner than well, Houston. Plus, some of those musician wannabes turned out to be decent, for example, Ray Wylie Hubbard (I thought he'd been in Austin for a while) and Townes Van Zandt
Not to mention that Austin was the spiritual home of the Outlaw country movement (something we need to resurrect)
France.
Don't get me wrong. I love Austin as well. That's why I live here. I'm just saying Round Rock is a lot more conservative than Austin. If you live in Round Rock, you get the benefits of living in Austin without the high tax rate and house prices. For example, my inlaws bought their house in 77' for $27,500. That house now goes for $250,000.
are we sure it is jj?

Post 112, he mentions Patrick Phantirath.
And the mods changed the article originator to reflect the Phantirath menace.
