Episode III SUX!

It was unbearably boring. Sure the last 20 minutes were ok, but the preceding two hours left me yawning. I’ve just seen it all before; guys in white armor with laser guns, guys hitting each other with light sabers, the stilted dialog, dinner theater acting and Lucas’ eight grade lefty politics. It all left me bored.

I must confess to laughing out loud at Vader’s McBain impression (MENDOZA!!!)

the movie sucked. My kids liked it, but not for the story, just for the lava scenes.

Remember the snappy lines and quirky funny, tense moments the first two movies had.

I can't even believe the movies are related.

Harrison Ford and the others were funny and had action..... it was just so much better than the movies that have "video" star quality but NO STORY and NO DIALOGUE.

Even Chewbacca(sp) was funny in the first movies....

They're just milking the cash cow with no real story other than a TV episode, with great visual effects and sub-Daytime TV acting and dialogue.

I was ready for Samuel Jackson to start screaming some biblical scriptures and pull out the .45

I personally thought that was tacky. But launching the Ewoks out of tubes using nothing but the Force was pure genius, from a military perspective.

I agree with what you wrote. This movie was one of the worst I seen! I can understand why Ewan McGregor didn't like being a part of it. Honestly just replacing Hayden Christenson(?) with anybody would have been a huge improvement. Did Lucas not see Hayden's movie were he plays Stephen Glass, GAG!!!!!

OMG, I actually sat thru that piece of tripe this weekend. It was on HBO during a late night feeding. I wanted to stab out my eyes it was so bad. Hayden really does have that whiny crybaby look down though. LOL

Yes, yes. The same criticism were made about the other films when they first came out. Time and popularity have proven those criticisms to be wrong, and it will be the same with these films as well.

Amen. It sucked. Big time. Juvenile dialog, predictable plot, poor acting. The only thing it had going for it was the CGI. How about when our "star" was told he killed her and yelled "NOOOOO!!!" My Gawd. What writing. What acting. At that moment, the boyfriend yelled into the snoring theatre.... KAAAAHHHHHNNNNN!!!!

I yelled "Maria" but some of you won't get that one......

My experience with the dyed-in-the-wool Trekkie/Fan is that the quality of the film will make no difference whatsoever, and every bit of what you predict will occur. The popularity will be escalating until the earth implodes. The marketability will be a phenomena. Money will flow like cheap wine. Lucas will be hoisted upon shoulders, stalked by adoring fans, and heralded a master of the big screen. Light sabers will be wielded. Capes will swirl. Boots will march.

But I still say the movie sucked. And I was in a big theater full of other people who said the movie sucked. Cuz it sucked. It was bad. I liked the others. This one was poor. It was bad. Ew. Icky. Blah. Based on Lucas' statement that he'll never make another, I can only say he probably knows it, too. Plus, I for one, am delighted he isn't making another one like THAT one, anyway.
