The 1970s were a time of some serious changes in our society and culture. Some good, most bad. Here at the Pissant Reasearch Center, we've compiled the Top 5 lists of the good and bad which that forgetful decade foisted upon us.

Yep, with my pimply face and in my catholic school skirt, I felt like such a loser!
Excuse me, but I just took "One Toke over the Line."
His boy is a moron.
Ahem....yes. ;O)
Don't complain. I distinctly remember my music teacher handing out the lyrics to "One Tin Soldier." It was some kind of hippy anti-war thing, but I think it was a real, i.e., someone recorded it, song.
I was going to list that one, but it turns out it was released in 1968...even though it was still all over the radio in the '70s.
We listened to the little local AM country station all the time.
JOHNNY WINTER
I loved "Society's Child". WOW!!!!

Jack.
I've not looked but it sounds like something Paul Anka would've written after she was done "having my baby"....BTW, how the hell did "worst songs" get so far with no mention of "Having My Baby?"
Best: Rockford Files.
Worst: Too many to choose.
Yep, and you know how I know that?...Casey Kasem told me on American Top 40....God help me
"Midnight At The Oasis" is one song I truly, truly, hate.
I have Johnny Winters brand new CD. Good stuff if ya like the gruff, white-man blues!
I'm dreadfully sorry, but this gem from Bobby Goldsboro beats out your entry ... it gave the guy a TV show, for cryin' out loud!
Honey
See the tree, how big it's grown
But friend, it hasn't been too long, it wasn't big
I laughed at her and she got mad
The first day that she planted, it was just a twig
Then the first snow came
And she ran up to brush the snow away so it wouldn't die
Came running in, all excited
Slipped and almost hurt herself and I laughed till I cried
She was always young at heart, kind of dumb and kind of smart
And I loved her so
And I surprised her with a puppy
Kept me awake all Christmas Eve two years ago
And it would sure embarrass her when I came in from working late
'Cause I would know
That she'd been sitting there and crying
Over some sad and silly late late show
And honey, I miss you and I'm being good
And I'd love to be with you if only I could
She wrecked the car and she was sad
And so afraid that I'd be mad, but what the heck
Though I pretended hard to be
Guess you could say she saw through me and hugged my neck
I came home unexpectedly
And caught her crying needlessly in the middle of the day
And it was in the early spring, when flowers bloom and robins sing
She went away
And Honey, I miss you and I'm being good
And I'd love to be with you if only I could
One day while I was not at home
While she was there and all alone, the angles came
Now all I have is memories of Honey
And I wake up nights and call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
Where Honey lived and Honey played
And love grew up
And a small cloud passes overhead
And cries down on the flower bed that Honey loved
Rockford Files were great.
Well, can we start with Three's Company?
My friend loves that song. He had them put it on the Juke Box of the local bar by his house.
